Megson And Hiddink
So Megson is a tactical genius because he gets every single player back for corners Sorry I'm not having that He's just very defensive

Cracking Froch Ko Last Night
Yep, I thought he won most of the rounds after the third One judge gave it to Froch (by a silly margin) and 3 out of 3 on the press row scored it for him ... assuming the last round was a 10-8 (could even have been 10-7) Having said that he was never gonna get the decision over there so I'm not surprised it was 1/14

Cracking Froch Ko Last Night
On itv4 at 8.30 and normal ITV at 11.15 Great fight I has Froch just winning anyway, without the KO, if he won the last round

Cahill Going Down In The Box?
He's a f?cking knob Time after time he gets us and he moans every single time, he moans in the preview of the game and the first time they go to him he slags the game off

The Pompey V Bolton Match Thread!
Sluffy I won't argue the point with you, as you move the goalposts too much You can't just say 'let's not count Anelka, Diouf and Nolan', and for no good reason discount Campo and Stelios (who scored vital goals to help keep us up) Oh and Gartside always said the initial money Megson spent was NOT using the Anelka money

The Pompey V Bolton Match Thread!
Been done to death this but we displayed the same form at the end of the season before, wasn't unusual for Allardyce teams to have bad spells I don't buy it that we were a 'shot' team, not to the extent Lee made us look anyway
-
The Pompey V Bolton Match Thread!
They have sacked a manager this year Sluffy It's hardly like they are happy with their season - just relieved it's probably not going to end in relegation

David Haye V Wladimir Klitschko Roll Call
Tickets go on sale tomorrow Pretty sure the standing area will be, ermm, standing The price list said 24 euros for 'terrace tickets'
-
David Haye V Wladimir Klitschko Roll Call
Yeah they took the thin end of the wedge this fight... the rematches will be lucrative though if he wins, compared to any other fights out there for Haye Haye hasn't done a lot at heavyweight to earn this fight in truth Don't get me wrong I am fully behind him and I give him a lot of credit for making this fight happen
-
David Haye V Wladimir Klitschko Roll Call
I'd agree we are probably looking at an early night either way Haye will see to that, if he stands off Klitschko he loses, so he'll make it a war I imagine As for the contract, I dunno, it was heavily weighted towards Wlad but then again the Klitschkos could easily have just said no, they didn't have to do the promo work they've done (turning up at the O2 for Haye-Barrett etc)... rematches against Vitali and Wlad are hardly a chore for Haye, he'll make a fortune... But yes, Sanders destroyed Wlad and Peter dropped him multiple times, every time he landed. Definite chin issues. Just like Haye. Should be explosive, would love to see Haye do it

Three Downsides To Today
Agree with the former, they've both been slightly exposed since Makelele went over the hill. They're good, but not quite as good as people made out. The latter, I didn't watch Blackadder so I can't comment. He is a class act though IMO.

David Haye V Wladimir Klitschko Roll Call
I hear the tickets are very cheap too, sure I heard 27 Euro or something daft for the cheapest It's a 65,000 or so stadium, so they should be Do you fancy Haye's chances?

Megson Saying We Are A Corner Shop
More often than not, yes, of course Our record is worse than that, you know that, and often we get a hiding too Years gone by we got the odd hiding but got the odd result, that doesn't seem to be the case lately
-
John Terry - Pot Kettle
I agree, he's good, but not a stand out player for me He has the turning circle of the QEII, but his lack of acceleration is rarely exposed at Chelsea or for England
-
Megson Saying We Are A Corner Shop
After all is said and done, there is no need to make these comments. What purpose do they serve? If we constantly remind ourselves that we are small fish, then we'll remain small fish Perhaps that's part of the reason for our abysmal record against the top sides It is 11 vs 11 at the end of the day and we should be going there to have a go, not making excuses before the game starts I'll put it on record that in my opinion Megson has done a good job... that doesn't mean everything he says or does is spot on though

The Inbetweeners
It's good but it's some distance short of Peep Show

Murder, Manslaughter, Or Just Doing His Job?
I walk down that street every day, but I wasn't in work last week Could've been me You don't know what went on beforehand but the Police don't have the right to pull stunts like that The copper needs to be identified, charged, tried and sentenced accordingly Am I right i thinking it wasn't a fully blown copper, some reservist or something?

Bent Now Injured!
Tony Daley and Andy Sinton too, amongst many others Pablo's 30 year remark seemed a bit arbitrary... as I suspect he isn't even 30 himself

Porn On Expenses
I can't remember the detail, but the one who was claiming for a second home in Brent when she lived in East London (less than 10 miles away) had claimed ?280k in 2 years I think. Whatever the detail was, it was a lot of money. It's wrong. They spend as much time claiming expenses as they do on their work I bet.
-
Porn On Expenses
I normally try to keep a level head about the media obsessions of the moment but this MP's expenses thing is really narking me They should pay them a salary and be done with it, no expenses allowed

Kev For England?
Fair enough, if Crouch is used properly he's very hard to stop and prolific in goals and assists He has struggled to adapt in teams that aren't built around him though The more I think about it, the more I think Davies could do a good job in Capello's England 4-4-2 And yes, I would say a better job than Crouch... in this particular England side
-
Kev For England?
I saw one interview when Capello said more or less the above... Owen needs to play more. He didn't mention Davies It is a bit of a farce that he likes his big strikers but won't pick the best one I'd rather have Davies than Crouch, Cole, or Heskey. He's far more intelligent and effective than any of those players. He is arguably a better goalscorer than any of them too. He is certainly better in the air and better as a target man.

Barclays
It is an utter pain in the bottom I'm afraid

Why We No Longer Bother Against The 'top Four Clubs'
I think your claims of 'facts' and 'proof' are a bit flimsy at times And you'd argue a glass eye to sleep But you make a lot of good points Take this thread...I still disagree but I can see your point of view In fact your opinion makes very good sense but on a philosophical level, I can't accept going into games thinking 'well, we should lose this anyway' - that's half the battle lost straight away IMO

Villa
They jeered Agbonlahor off too It does strike me as a bit counter productive, it's hardly like they've blown it just yet, but the fans have really upped the pressure on the team now
