Pension For Failure
I believe so I wasn't actually specifically referring to him (though I didn't make that obvious) I've only ever worked for blue chip companies and I've known a few chief execs be forced out and get paid off seven figure sums... It can't be right

Pension For Failure
Since it became a part of his 'package'. It's not contribution based is it? Not that I know the ins and outs. But I hear it was discretionary. I'm a bit torn on this one. I still believe in free markets. But there's something wrong when chief exec's are getting million pound payoffs when they get sacked for poor performance.

Hull V Sheff Utd

6+5 Rule
Agree with all of that Platini wasn't moaning about money when he was coining it at Juve in the 80's, he's a c?nt

Gary Megson
On the brink = it got mentioned on WW

Gary Megson
Yep Thing is they played their full team (if I remember rightly) Anyway I agree with the new chap, I'm warming to Megson, and a little tilt at one of the cups would be nice I can't believe these lads can't manage 38 games and a few cup ties

Paatelainen
I thought the same, years apart But on deeper thought ... maybe not
-
Owen Coyle
The winner at Goodison too I believe, when he went from useless b?stard to legend in my book ! Looks a promising manager but Megson is doing alreet, no need to change course now

Owen Coyle
Sh?te in most of them too ! I think Defreitas was his competition more than Blake though

Mmmuuuuggggssss!
That's not saying much though is it? I know a load of them too and barely a single one is even from London

Illegal (?) Pc Feeds
In short I agree with Sluffy Less TV money doesn't mean clubs going bust It just means them spending less on players fees and wages Trouble might be that the debt a lot of clubs have racked up would seem astronomical without the future TV revenue to pay it back However I think that less money in the game wouldn't be a bad thing, essentially it would just mean less Champions League success for the top sides - but even that's debatable if you look at our record in the 70's and 80's when the Italians had the money (though they also had a foreign player limit) It's all well and good saying these big name foreigners have 'graced the league' but it was always plenty enough entertaining when the bulk of the players were British

Michael Jennings
Yeah, round five Jennings did OK but the gulf in class was too much, he got caught in the 3rd or 4th with a big left hook and it was a matter of time after that Cotto is a hurtful fighter Rarely stops anyone by clean KO, but I've seen him break cheekbones, even shoulders... he's a destructive puncher Jennings was starting to get damaged, he insisted his corner let him continue into round five, but the ref waved it off when he went down for the third time Brave effort but he was there to ease Cotto into his comeback, tried his best, and hopefully would have collected a nice payday

People Waiting For Things To Go Wrong
I've found myself on a knife edge about Megson all season... we win and I see the good, we lose and I see the bad Perfectly natural you might say but it's been quite extreme for me - I'm not a kneejerk type Anyway I've come to the conclusion that he's tried his best, we've done quite well to be fair, and I'm on board now I think we're only a fraction away from being a good side once more, with quite a few players who should improve again next year

Set of c?nts, typical London club, followed by a load of plastics Always nice to beat them

England
The comparison for Davies is Carlton Cole And again, it's favourable But neither will get in
-
Michael Jennings
Yeah, the Jennings fight will be up first and Pavlik almost straight after apparently Same TV program, but different cards
-
Bullard
Not sure why Sluffy Clubs get themselves in shit all the time Football is a pretty (until the last few years anyway) minor business and there's a lack of professionalism all round
-
Michael Jennings
This fight will be on Setanta by the way folks, just announced it today About 3am Saturday night but should be on repeats too
-
Michael Jennings
It's like Chorley playing Man U Then again Cotto is coming off his first loss (hence the sacrificial lamb for his comeback fight) Cotto got busted up in his last fight by Margarito who has since been banned for loading his gloves... so you never know what damage that has done to Cotto All in all don't bet on Jennings

Were You Gutted....
Yes and no, but it pre-dates 1974 Physically the area wouldn't have been regarded as Salford pre-war. It (like Farnworth to a degree) existed between Bolton and Manchester, the locals regarded themselves as 'Lancastrian' and probably supported Bolton. Not sure when Salford actually claimed the place, I'd imagine post war, but seeing as a good 80-90% of LH's present inhabitants were shipped out of Salford from the 50's onwards and it is governed by Salford, it's not really comparable to the Greater Manchester thing. Bolton, Oldham, Wigan etc are not and never will be Manchester. Whereas building all the estates in Little Hulton was basically a physical extension of Salford. A lot of 'Bolton' wouldn't have been classed as such in years gone by... Deane, Farnworth etc. In fact I think Little Hulton once was part of Deane Parish. Things change...

Eng V Spain
Bloody good team Spain They press incredibly well as a unit, they move the ball very quickly too, and they have outstanding individuals Torres/Villa or Gabby/Heskey... world of difference I think that game showed us how far we have to go But we were missing 3 of our top players who would make a bit of difference (nowhere near enough to bridge the gap mind) I struggle to believe Downing and SWP will prove to be international class, I like both players but they fall short at the very top level. I strongly think Young should be in the team learning the ropes.
