I'd rest the wing backs Cogley & Randy, & the strikers Charles & Vic because they all run miles & Sheehan & Santos because they're too important to risk.              Baxter

Regular buses tbf and doesn’t take too long. Either of those would be top drawer away days.

Must be getting old as I think Harrogate at home is perfect ha

Away would have had the Anthill Mob taking Betty's Tearoom early doors

6th home draw on the trot in FA Cup and 11 out of last 12.

Last time we got drawn away in either 1st or 2nd round was Emley in 1991 and even that was played at a neutral ground! (Huddersfield).

Last away draw in 2nd round was Chesterfield in 1990, postponed to midweek (4-3, Storer winner).

Because of the stupid restrictions on seating in the ESL, I had the misfortune to end up in yesterday’s crazy corner. There were no more than 20 of them but they made the whole game unpleasant for everyone sat around, many of which were women and young kids.

First half one just shouted a constant foul mouth stream of abuse at the opposition fans, the ref, their players and ours, it was miserable. Second half they decided to turn their attention to everyone around them and ignored the game. One guy in his twenties off his head shouting “ suck my cock” to anyone who looked at him.

I’m no shrinking violet but it was all bang out of order.

I can imagine. I'd have moved personally, maybe it's just me getting old but we have so many fuckwits

They sent back 150 of their 500 tickets for Marine yesterday so I wouldn’t be expecting hordes

A, great night that was... Fuck me 33yrs ago!!!

Did we not get drawn away against Eastleigh?

Or was that the replay?

I've no recollection of a postponement but it definitely wasn't a replay.  A massive win in hindsight, beat Barrow in R3 then it was Man U away in R4, 10k of us there.

We also played Chesterfield 2 years earlier, a dire 0-0 at home but another great result at Saltergate, 3-2.

Yes drawn away at Eastleigh, that was R3 (we were in championship).  Also Bristol City away 2018, round 4.

Went to both. Surprised Brizzle was nearly 6 years ago

Gretna 93 was officially away. We played in Red & Blue stripes.

Don't remember that, Chesterfield on a Saturday was always a game we'd have a car full for in those days, that would have been a disappointment.

Right you are

Good info.  I totally forgot about that.  Wierd that 2 draws in 3 years were "away" but not played at their grounds, I'm sure that wouldn't be allowed now.

(Still stands that we haven't had an away day in 1st 2 rounds for 32 years, excluding replays).

Game after Gretna was Lincoln away with that wierd 5 or 6pm KO for live TV, went to that, loved the novelty of the wierd KO time, if it was now I'd be irritated by it.

It wouldve been pretty difficult for the majority of those 32 years

So assuming you went to Liverpool in 2015, you haven't missed an away FA Cup tie for at least 12 years!

(4 home games 2012-13-14, none away)
