Maybe we're trying to finish him off

  • Same. It can’t be as good as last year and will also mean more and more games to get through in the season. An uneventful draw with Vale, losing on penalties so as not to dent any confidence, wou

Does it really matter where the money is coming from if it benefits the football team and local community?

If we had a big cash injection and it promotes our club outside of the UK too I certainly wouldn’t be complaining.

I do agree though Wrexham is a horrible place, very insular and needs investment, but so do many towns in the UK.

No issue at all just pointing out it is not how we knew football. The YouTube stars are a big part of modern football. Again no issue it’s just changed.

my only issue is Wrexham are fucking vile. Went to uni there on day release from work. One of the most racist and grim places ever

Think you're right.

Can't say it bothers me if we sell a few shirts to ex pats or young "new fans". Those lads in Argentina for example.

Can't blame the owners for using their presence to create income.

It's more the media that immediately suck up to them that is a bit disturbing. At some point that same media will turn against them.

Agree.

Was staying over for the friendly we had planned a few years ago and I still went when we called it off as hotel was pre-paid etc….

Was threatened in a pub and had to leave. There was only me and my GF there and about a dozen pisspots in Spoons.

One because I was English.

Two because I was from Bolton.

It’s grim and racist as you say.

Playing Devil’s advocate a little, what’s the difference between Wrexham and say Salford? Celeb owners chuck in some cash, TV / media interest, non-league team goes up to lower leagues.

Love in for the former, but despise the latter. Is it just because Salford are a bunch of reds? I appreciate there is a bit more history with Wrexham, but if anything the Salford story is more of a “football” one, with the owners being local ex pros rather than overseas TV stars.

They forced my lecturer out of their house bricking his windows etc constantly. Vile

I reckon Dereham in Norfolk could give it a good run for it's money

I lived there for a year as my first job out of uni

So I left and took a job in Hull 😃

Isn’t that where Mikey Carroll was from?

I think Wrexham being a reasonably sized club, and one who spent a disproportionately amount of time in non league in recent years compared to their history, very much counts in their favour whereas Salford are nothing more than a scaled-down English version of RB Leipzig.

Think that was Swaffham, which is a bit further down the evolutionary scale

Ah fair. I thought I’d heard of said place but have no idea why and could only link him.

It's only a few miles down the road

Swaffham Country Fayre is highly recommended.

But if you are able to unfurl 15 feet of thin sheet metal from a pocket sized box I'd avoid it.

It has many problems, but just to say I live in an extremely nice village nearby.

Honestly weird this. I really have no interest in this and don’t want a fixture pile up but I can never want us to lose a game. Not sure who I want but can easier home game would be nice.

Brymbo by any chance?  My mate moved down there 18 months ago, bought a very nice house with (comparatively) very little money.

Haaaa. Brymbo. No, somewhat classier than that AND beneath the tree line.

Marford/Rossett.

Could have been worse, at least on paper.

What’s the full draw?

Quite like Lincoln as a place

Aye. Nice city centre.

My comment was more about the relative difficulty other teams may pose.

Accy away.
