Fair play to them giving the extras. Don’t think I’d have managed if they hadn’t.

In x 3 and train booked.

Needed a third device as other two were stuck on blue circles of death.

Can I be the first to ask for 2 spare adults please? Got called into a bastard meeting at 9.45am and completely forgot.

Won’t hold my breath but hopefully 2 of the 3,000 will crop up!

Oh for the days where those willing to get up at stupid o’clock would trudge to the ground and take their place in the queue in often freezing weather.

It was how I found this place; chatting to other posters in the queue for Carling Cup Final v Boro.

This forum was great fun later that day when the club had encouraged each Season Ticket holder to purchase a ticket for themselves and a ticket for a friend per ST held. Kind of like buying spares nowadays!

So it was the club itself who started this buying spares for mates.

its not irrelevant

you havent a clue what youre talking about

so, today our group was 18, so immediately we need 2 buyers as its limited to 10 per transaction

at 945 you log on to the ticketing portal, when many folk cant get on cos of work

you refresh 4 or 5 times a minute in case sales open early - as they have before

hopefully you dont get asked to complete a captcha

you then see the game appear

quick as you can, click on buy tickets

choose how many

choose the area

hope for the best

this morning, theres spinning blue wheels all over the place

if you do get tickets in the basket, more than once transactions are declined

all that in mind, do you try to buy what you need or try to cover for system failure

remembering, often 10s of pounds per train ticket has already been spent

At what time should they sell them at then? 11am, 3pm? as folk will be at work at those times as well most likely

Could do 1pm but you'd probably say people are on their lunch then

7pm

as a former shift worker, its still not perfect, but it should exclude a lot less people

Whatever time you pick, you'll find an excuse

7pm people could be on their way home from work, kids etc

How many times have you missed out from getting tickets due to it being 10am?

Proper long shot here, as it goes without saying I don’t put in the miles & others will be more deserving.

I’m in Scotland these days and my brother is up in the Highlands, so we don’t get to many away days.

Tried to get two for this earlier but no luck today. If any has two adults going for sale then we’d love to get down for this one 🙏

Wouldn’t fancy doing it for every away game, mind!

maybe that would make it even harder to get tickets as well, as more folk will be trying
