Seems like the final average attendance for this season was 21080. Second best in the league behind Derby. From memory it was just shy of 19,000 last season.  It's bloody impressive stuff. F

Probably not, it's free money, as the ground is never full anyway.

True! Although should we reach the promised land of the Prem again or go on a great run in the championship we might pretty much sell out the odd home game in the home end, surly thats restricting some revnue to the club with these seats beening the kids Ghost seats :) at least I know why there never available now.

Something needs doing as its preventing full price sales

I agree it's a cuntish thing to do, but there are at least 5000 unsold seats every single home game. Nobody is being prevented from attending.

Not being able to get 2 seats together in most lower tiers for individual matches must put some off going, it must be costing the club money.  When I get tickets for others, its impossible to get anywhere near where we want.  We know we can try to find a spare seat on the day but not everyone can be bothered with the hassle, they want to stick to the seat on their ticket, which means sitting on your own or even in a different stand.

I wonder if part of it is the good publicity of "crowds above 20k most weeks" and best crowds since Prem days etc, clearly it reflects really well if crowds are (supposedly) increasing, success attracts success etc.

Cheers everyone, thats all a bit clearer. Nice that you still get physical card. As for the Ghost seats, it must be costing the club a few bob that. I'll get a couple of seats and turn up in the East Lower near the north stand and its deserted but online only a couple of seats remain dotted around and everytime Ive been the last couple of years.

We all know the area nearest the South Stand more often than not has more folk standing between seats than there are seats.

Let’s say, for argument’s sake there are 1000 seats in each of the two blocks. If each seat has 1.25 people then there are 500 empty (but sold) seats elsewhere in the stand. Add to the season ticket seats sold but no-shows then that’s quite a few empty seats that may not be U12 ghost tickets.

I honestly thought the club had reserved them for schools or giveaways etc but all makes sense now.

Think thats the North Lower

I've taken my eldest last few years, sit in North Lower with my father in law. Missus on about getting her and the youngest one, no seats available in North Lower which means splitting up anyway, or relocating seats to upper for a huge chunk of money extra.

upper, im fairly sure

Quick question - does the direct debit option charge interest/cost more than up front? Or is total cost of season tickets just split across all the monthly payments?

I would be amazed if it’s 0% but I don’t actually know.

trying to get my mate a ticket in the ESL for the Charlton game, all sold out already.

need to sort these 'ghost' seats cos they'll be plenty of spare seats in that stand for the game.

It’s the club not wanting to sell them. Hence all the cunts moving to ESU ruining my enjoyment

Eh? I was supposed to be getting a Charlton ticket tonight, that's ridiculous for a routine game in 4 days

The whole ESL sold out, not the stadium, should've made that clear😆

Always happen if we bang them out so cheap

Kids only need to go twice a season to justify getting a spare season ticket for them 'just in case'.

No wonder everyone with little en's is rinsing it.

Attendnonces must absolutely love it too on Twatter

19k tonight,

embarrassing when they announce an attendance like that to a half empty stadium.

Renewed mine and the kids, 75 quid a month, happy as
