It’s amazing how quickly folk forget how much hard work has been put in by Evatt and his team since he came here and how far the team and squad has come, replace him and get the wrong manager and back

I heard a guy on BoltonFM on the way back too who said we need to start playing with a plan B and mix it up, playing direct to big men upfront. Jesus wept, and he's not the only one. The amount o

Aye maybe a one game rest, not bloody five!

Or the Wigan game if he’s a quick healer.

We're not exactly bereft of options and Charles hasn't been pulling any trees up for a few weeks (though still working as hard as ever), time to try different pairings and see how they go. Even CMG might get nearer to a game

That would be logical ……….but pragmatism isn’t in Evatt’s dictionary is it?

Just what we need with Santos out

The only chink of light , he changed the system at Northampton second half & we performed much better (albeit we were down to ten)

Jones Toal  Iredale  Ashworth

Cogley  Dempsey Maghona

Gomas  Bodvarsson Collins

Cogley in midfield must be a typo! Put Sheehan there and I like this a lot.

Also possibly Taylor for Iredale but 50/50 on that one.

Nowt wrong with that team , we become less predictable & more offensive

Give the opposition something different to deal with.

Square pegs in square holes etc.

Won’t happen though ……..

Yep missed Sheehan out who must start in the centre - Cogley could go RB and move Jones with Toal as CB ‘s with Iredale LB

Iredale over Taylor every day and twice on Sunday’s.

Rather than 4-3-3, I’d have maybe thought 4-3-1-2 with CMG behind the front two. Particularly as Jones and Ashworth would naturally push forward.

Hope Charles benefits from the rest and comes back flying. Still plenty of options.

Yeah Cogley or Jones right back depending whether we wanted to be more attacking or defensive. Same with Iredale or Ashworth at left back. Not sure Jones could play CB in a 4 though

Your right about Iredale & I admire your optimism

We're not changing from 5-3-2 you fucking mentalists.

Right assuming Evatt has not been on here so does not know about the formation change. The team will

Yep, that would be my team. I think Ashworth is the better all round player but against these i'd go for the more attacking Ogbeta.

Having a look on the Charlton forum , I was surprised to see a thread wanting Alfie May dropped, he doesn't seem to have been doing much for them. At Charlton, Santos was much too good for May, but without Santos I'd be pleased if May isn't playing.

The player they really rate & seem to be depending on is Chuks Aneke  a forward who i think we were once linked with. Unlucky for Charlton, he seems to be very injury prone.

Baxter, Forrester, Santos, Thomasson, Charles. Williams. Half the team out and that's not including long term injuries to Nlundulu and Johnston Thank god he picked up those four players in the transfer window.

Done fuck all May, 16 goals in 29 games!

Santos been training this week ?   If so, I have a sneaky feeling in me water He will be on the teamsheet.

Hope so

Wouldn’t mind seeing CMG in the front two while Charles is out.

Yes, they wouldn't have much without May's goals but some of their fans seem to think he's tailed off in the slump they've had. (I can't be arsed looking when his goals came )
