A must win game.

They are in terrible form, got disaster written all over it. We bossed the game down there.

Some flannel about us having to be better than them if we want to win and some further flannel about hoping Evatt picks the right team but trusting him to do so as he's the manager not us after all, followed by a conclusion that any win will do even if it comes via the most disgusting own goal ever seen in a 1-0 victory where we're outplayed throughout.

Take the tick, move on.

Weird team these. Got a lot of quality and were amongst the favourites at the start of the season, but just not happened for them. They can play, but they have a soft centre. We need to get at them. Properly

Charles has a good record against these so I'd start him with Collins again

Think we're well overdue some luck from the officials.

I noticed that yesterday was Pompey's TENTH penalty this season, in comparison to us with just 3.

We've also had the joint 2nd most amount of red cards with 5, Derby in comparison only had 1 which was against us.

You make your own luck and taking nothing away from Pompey and Derby, but I just feel like we're not getting much rub of the green.

Red cards, penalties, fixture postponements, injuries, hoping for a change in fortune!

Regardless we have shown real grit and spirit to get the job done, despite missing our captain and No1 goalkeeper and all of the above and are in pole position for autos.

Think we will carry on getting stronger as the month goes on. Key personnel coming back and new signings know what we're about and will settle in.

Pompeys penalty was a joke last night and got them back in the game. Barnsley are another team getting far too many and conning the refs

A mate was at last night’s Charlton game against Lincoln. Said Charlton were woeful 1st half but better after the break. Brought Ladapo on, as others have said have some quality but still a Whites win.

Start quick and we should easily brush these aside.

6 points please from the relatively easy next 2 games, before the tough ones start.

this is a must imo

6 points from these, and we could take a couple of draws at blackpool and wigan

Don't see why we're building up Blackpool. Lost last night and playoffs starting to look doubtful plus like us last year, their minds are half on wembley no matter what the manager says to them and Wigan are due a stuffing as well.

we haven't won there for about 40 years

Irrelevant. Don't think this year's team will give a toss when they walk out for the game. Although the press and media love them, past stats can't help them score goals.

Agree but we know how our local rivals get motivated for their biggest game of the season against us, just look at the Wigan games. They always turn up and treat it like a cup final.

Wigan never battered us by blowing us away with quality, the game earlier this season we had 65% of the ball and 20+ shots and lost 0-4. We lost as they were more aggressive and didn't pull out of 50/50s, which allowed the ball to bounce their way favourably. If you can stomach it, just look at the highlights, awful awful goals defensively.

We have go into those games wanting to implement our style as usual, but be fucking up for it, be in their faces and aggressive from the 1st minute.
