TroySwoosh Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 so we've gone from a forum of armchair coaches/managers to armchair psychologists now? maybe he's just got a bit of toothache? or his cats died Quote

When it turns shit it takes ages to put it right. We've had big dips under him before, trouble is this one has come at the worst time possible Come on Gonzo, turn that avatar upside down. We're still in it. Next instalment is Monday. Three points, a good win, and a good performance, with four homes in April. It's still on Gonz. Quote

It's like late period Mourinho, everything is against us, everything is someone else's fault, the players are scared, the fans are cunts. If everyone would just respect his genius and get out of the way we'd be fine. I'm still broadly behind him, to the point I'd give him another crack at it even if he fails this year. But all managers have a shelf life, and a character like Evatt, when the wheels come off things will really turn sour. I feel like this is his chance with us. What would be any different with Evatt in charge next season in league 1 though? I'm still broadly behind him, but his biggest weakness is being adaptable so I reckon we'd have another season just like this, i.e. not quite good enough. If he doesn't get us up definitely best for both parties that he moves on. He's showing signs of strain and needs a fresh start as well as the fan base. If he does get us up, it's a different story, as it would most likely boost him and us. But to get us up, he really needs to start being more positive and getting the players up for it. The late Mourinho comparisons are spot on and he needs to snap out of it. He's sapping energy from the fans and team Quote

Managers should be inspirational. Quote

He's sapping energy from the fans and team I still think there's something there with him, and I could be totally wrong about his attitude as far as it transmits to the players. And to be fair, this would be his first failure after three good seasons. I wouldn't have a huge amount of confidence in him. But I think he's shown enough to deserve the chance to prove beyond all doubt that he's not the man for the job. Quote
Moderators Zico Posted March 31, 2024 Moderators Posted March 31, 2024 I think one way or another we will go up this season We best fucking had If not, gets one more chance for me Though I just can't see Sharon sacking him and he's under contract till 2026 So two more chances Quote
itdiddidit? Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Disappointed as I was at Stevenage had a good day out. For the booers and the tosser giving the players the bird at the end get a grip, it's the trenches time now and that doesn't help. God forbid we're not 3 up after 20 minutes tomorrow or you'll be at it again. If we're there on a Friday night next month I'd swerve the 99p Parts and Labour pale ale in Spoons. It's cheap for a reason. Quote
Whitesince63 Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Let’s just see how the season ends, add it all up and make a judgement then. Hopefully one way or the other we’ll be in the Championship and everything will look different? 😁 Quote
