The Glastonbury Thread

Looks wank

There's a handful of acts I'll try to catch but for me it's not a patch on last year

Haven't even heard of the Sunday night headliner, SZA

Or the act before them, Burna Boy

If you want to reminisce about 1995, look at the fucking state of this poster from the Apollo. Makes you weep for the new generation this:

Forget the music, Jo Brand and Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown! When we really were diverse. 😅

I did see the Roses - that was their Xmas gig I believe and they blew fake snow over the crowd at the end. Then almost froze to death at the train station wet through 😁

Love them myself.

Remarkable performance considering the circumstances

Fair play fella

It was, he did well, will hopefully have been a positive thing for him.

Good fun that there were two Capaldis on at roughly the same time when Franz Ferdinand brought Peter out. FF were good.

I'm really looking forward to Busta for some reason. Just have a hunch he'll nail it.

Aye, not quite sure what to expect when it comes to rap at a festival

bit like when Kelis was there as she was headlining some stage, all my favourite stuff by her is when she features with other artists, so wasn't sure if she's be any good and she smashed it

Patchwork = Chappal Roan

Never heard of her

Is she that good / popular that's she's worth being a surprise under another name?

I remember Labatts too. Used to be about £1.65 when I first started venturing round the Blackrod and Horwich pubs at 16.

Christ, over 30 years ago.

Also

They did some promotional prizes type thing where me and a mates even up with a labatts t shirt

Loved that t shirt

Second only to my Bolton 94/95 home kit at the time

Got a photo somewhere

Will dig it out

Haha, that's what was being touted about this morning

Apparently it's Pulp again as Jarvis is doing a DJ set today

She's definitely popular

As for good, I'd be surprised if anyone on here fits in with her demographic/target audience

She sounds like a village you'd stop off at on an ale trail

Not really my thing tbh, but Stromzy absolutely smashed it out of the park when he headlined

Would fill the Reebok twice over, but looks like it'll be Pulp

Thank you cheese !!!!

So the kids (well 18, 15 and 13) have declared all my music shit once again and the only thing good so far has been PinkPantheress (but I mainly think that's because she went to their school)

Anyway, they've all buggered off to a gig from some sixth form band in whitstable and left me in peace.

Apart from the 13 year old who is doing a sleep out for homeless people 😁

These were good today
