The Glastonbury Thread

Looks wank

There's a handful of acts I'll try to catch but for me it's not a patch on last year

Haven't even heard of the Sunday night headliner, SZA

Or the act before them, Burna Boy

  • Didn’t think it needed saying, but for the hard of thinking - if you don’t like what you are seeing and/or hearing at Glastonbury, just turn your telly over or go out for a walk. Nobody, and I me

  • If you want to see irony at its finest then I give you Glastonbury 2025. A festival so "free-spirited" it’s surrounded by a 13ft fence, armed security, ID checks, and its own holding pen for bord

Yard Act's set is brilliant - didn't much like where's my Utopia but they are so good live.

Enjoying Black Pumas on jazz world stage

My sources tell me Stormzy will be appearing on the pyramid during the next act

Had a quick dip in and thought Pulp were doing a secret gig.

Where can I rewatch this, missed it earlier. Actually like quite a lot off the new album.

He's got very good stage patter which is a bit Jarvisesque.

It's not bad - but I loved their first album so was a bit of a letdown but given in a another few plays after the set - maybe I was a bit harsh when I first gave it a listen.

Very much enjoying Gossip - good to see they've reformed.

Coldplay started amazing but at the moment it's morphed into some jazz club/Paul Simon Graceland combo!

Saw bits of their set before. Not wanting to jump on the “let’s all hate Coldplay” bandwagon. But just don’t understand their selection this year. Bringing nothing new to the festival. No question about them putting on an amazing live show, but feel like it could be a re-run from a few years ago.

Just my opinion of course.

I think it’s very tasteful for everyone to fly a Palestine flag at a music festival, given what Hamas like to do at them.

Fucking bellends.

I saw Coldplay at the Emirates, more than 10 years ago. It’s the same format today as it was then, just with a few more recent songs thrown in.

Orbital are fuckin class. Still bang at it here with a stomping crowd.

I had a CD of live acts at the 1998 festival and they were on it doing Chimes.

What it's all about these lads.

BBC News guy having it

Fair enough if they're not your preferred brew but that light show throughout and particularly at the end of their set, was immense. Loved it!

Aye they are like the Real Madrid of the live music world for me. Total fail safe and guaranteed a mint show.

Can't think of any other big bands that could headline tbh?

I’ll have Michael Eavis on next years deadpool please

Not a big Coldplay fan, but this is a proper show

I bet Crawley hates it

Marty McFly wasn’t on the bingo card

Ocean Colour Scene are playing at the minute, hopefully it's being filmed for upload tomorrow

If Coldplay have any balls, they’ll play Fix You with the very broken Michael J Fox booping away in the background
