Ill still tell the missus is a 3pm kick off so I can have a good afternoon on the beers

She's usually more bothered about what time I start than finish so a half five works for me 😃

Took roughly 40 mins from Euston so it’s doable

Yeah toying with the idea now of making the half 8 to Wigan but it’ll be tight

Fair point. None of the quick Wigan trains going down are on sale yet and nothing at all coming back.

I live down south and can be in central London in about 35 mins

Worst was coming back from one of the Cheltenham games in an advanced state of refreshment, fell asleep on train, missed stop and woke up in Peterborough

Last train back gone and didn't fancy a night in Peterborough, plus my phone had died so couldn't tell her so paid £170 in a taxi to get home as I didn't want her panicking

Get in, go to bed and next day tell her what happened. Her response was she didn't even notice I'd come in!

Seems to suggest all League One kick off 5:30pm opening game?!?

Will Ifollow get those Sky+ games too at 5:30?

Or a more pertinent question, will they end up on dodgy?

Can only fall in line with the general apathy of other away followers I know on here by not being enthused at all with the fixture list, the new TV deal, the silly times, the Wrexham nonsense and shit clubs/grounds. Crikey listen to me, I used to be a positive happy bloke 🤣

I’m hoping my thought process will change as we get closer.

For many, footy away days are more than anything a social occasion with mates. A bloody expensive one too.

When kick-off times become “anti-social” then people will naturally drop off. The travelling groups then get smaller and the whole thing eventually implodes.

It’s sad but inevitable I feel, especially if we continue bumbling around at this level.

The better away days are already mid-week, likely to be moved to mid-week or in the depths of winter.

Anyway, let’s see what all the revised kick-off times are.

I’ll not pack them in. I do need my fix.

Me too, I was just being a bit sarky.

Showing my general enthusiasm for the new season mate. 🙄
