You’re doing all the others wrong, in that case!

Cambridge is fantastic for a beer once you know where you’re going. Stevenage old town was one of the finds of the season. Reading town centre miles better than expected, and Peterborough has the boat and a few hidden gems.

Think I’ve got Bibby Stockholm syndrome.

Massively reduced schedule for me this season

Still can't get up for this season yet at all

I’m waiting for next season. I’ll not get up for this season at all.

You will if we win the first 6 games and are sat top of the league with Collins already in double figures!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s hugely unlikely but there’s no way you could stop yourself getting up for it then - I don’t have you down for one of those stubborn types that won’t enjoy something just to prove they’re right.

I’m nowhere near looking forward to the season yet. Couldn’t care less about pre-season results (actually unsure of exactly which games we’ve played so far) and I’m not really taking much notice of signings, certainly not the rumours etc. - having said all that, come 5.30pm on 10th August I know for a fact that all the buzz of new season will be back and I’ll be full of expectation that we’ll be promoted this time.

One thing I am excited about is a full season of Collins in the team. My positivity based prediction is if Collins and Charles play the majority of the season up top together I think they get >45 goals between them.

I give you Cambridge

The rest shocking

Work in Reading a bit and found the center decent enough for beers. Especially by the river

So so many awful shitty little clubs and generally crap away days in non-football towns.

When you go to an away day you want a social experience & not just the craic on the train with your mates.

You want a bit of banter with their fans, pubs bouncing etc.

Cambridge, Stevenage, Northampton, Wycombe, Burton, Crawley, Exeter, Reading & Bristol Rovers.

They’re off the top of my head.

No fucking way.

Not again.

Never done Bristol Rovers, and can’t again this season annoyingly, but always assumed it’d be a good away day - mainly because Bristol is pretty decent and isn’t the most difficult to get to. Surprised to see it alongside the others in your list, am I wrong with my assumption?

Won’t happen mate. His time is up with me. I hope he gets it’s bang on but nothing other than romping home with the title will amend last season. I’ve given him the chances so feel I’m not being unreasonable. Realistically I think we make play offs and choke again.

Its doom and gloom and even I’m bored of writing it but it’s very easy to see what’s coming.

Id say prove me wrong Ian but he won’t and never does (may be a bit of reverse psychology in this)

I'm looking forward to a full season of Collins too.  But that's a big statement assuming you mean in the league.  You're basically saying one of them will score every game 😀 I'd settle for the team scoring every game and plenty others will be chipping in hopefully.

I also would never just have Collins down as a pure goalscorer like say Charles, he's a good all round footballer and will create as many as he scores, but I don't expect him to be a 20 goal striker.  Charles gets held up by not getting some of those late winners/equalisers when you throw everything at the opposition, because he's always subbed before then!

Really like Bristol as a city that harbour area and King Street etc are great, but the area around Bristol Rovers ground, good grief.

Found Reading to be decent in the centre last season, after slagging it off ever since the 7-1. So easy from London as well there's a train leaving every 18 seconds!

It won't help you sitting up in the god with a gaggle of other wrist slashers mate.

Like Statler and Waldorf sat up in the gallows every time we kick a ball sideways.

I really like & rate both Charles & Collins highly but i'm not convinced that they're a partnership & it could be that one of them with Vic (Booooo ) might work better.........I think Charles was at his best last season when partnered with Vic (Booooo )

& I wouldn't put Bristol Rovers ( or Exeter )with those duff away trips. Both cities are worth visiting, both clubs have some keen supporters & neither ground is a soulless , out of town, flatpack job. Bristol R is a quirky, odd ground, I like it, others don't !

All the doom merchants,    does this mean you won't be attending games unless it turns out we are actually decent and up there?

Bored of all the 'wembley has done it for me' statements,    yes it was up there with the shittest of shit days of being a bolton fan but that's just it,  we are bolton fans , we have to take the shite along the ride but surely your bwfc skin is now thick enough to know the highs will come and drown the low of wembley.

It's being a bolton fan it's what it is it's who we are.

Roll on the season
