Fiorentina Home & Anglo Italian Cup

Featured Replies

Not really up for football but going to do the Chorley/Fiorentina double this week.

Anyone remember our only season in the Anglo Italian Cup in 93/94?

5-0 Home win over Ancona then 3 draws with Brescia (3-3- at Home), 1-1 at Pisa then 1-1 at Ascoli, saw us go out at the group stage.

The first final in 1970 was abandoned with Swindon leading Napoli 3-0 in Napoli due to crowd trouble!

ESL looking as if it will be 80% full. WSL looking more like 40%. Currently about 40 Viola fans in their seats. Seen loads of the new pink shirts. Looks better in real life.

Well Merseyside is another country.

Think we had to qualify out of an English group first.

We won there 2-1 then Rioch had a post match meltdown and put about half a dozen on the transfer list.

Bury got some shit team from Finland in the Fenix cup, decent away trip I guess something different

Aye, Hagi hatrick in the 3-3 and the unforgettable trip to Pisa and the San Marino v England game next day, was a long old trip on a coach to Pisa then onto Bologna for the England game.

Two teams I'd never have imagined would ever appear in the same sentence.

Fenix cup? Tell me more.

A load of phoenix/fan owned clubs wanking each other off.

Bury would be well advised to concentrate on their league campaign.

That the one FCUM won last year? Supposed to be some great trips

Yep. Not sure if they won it. But sure, they are in the league they are supposed to be in, mid-table with fucking zero chance of promotion.

Meanwhile Bury lost out to not one but two teams from Wythenshawe.

Got my ticket this morning. Looking forward to it.

Noticed that one block in the away end lower tier is on sale. Expecting there to be a few "away" fans.

Are we expecting any first teamers for them? Because they're very short odds to win.

Presume they will be playing their B Team, as they play PNE tomorrow at Deepdale

They've brought a squad of 28 over incl 4 keepers. Expect a mix of players tonight and tomorrow.

I saw a comment on a FB post stating B Team v Us, 1st team v PNE, then a hybrid v Hull on Tuesday

I'm not going anyway, so makes no odds to me. Hope there's a decent lineup

Probably right  - Squad players rather than B team as such, but neither team will want to give the majority of players 90 minutes at this stage of pre-season.

Reckon I'm feeding my tomatoes and having a takeaway 😁

In.

Itialians at home, on Friday night with an excuse for a couple beers. Be rude not to.
