December 29, 20241 yr Popular Post Almost feels as seismic as when we lost Nat. One of the fixtures and fittings of the club - the thought of her not being there any more is beyond sad. RIP Ruth. We all feel it but you felt it more than anyone.

Dave higson to , real legends of the club. Maybe the club could name the supporters club after her. RIP RUTH.
December 29, 20241 yr Popular Post End of an era. All the best Ruth, if there is an after life, I hope you're watching on the terraces in the Sky with the greats. You deserve it. Mrs Bolton Wanderers.

Charlies would have already been prepared. Terrible description but being an ex player & manager that would trump anything else. Why dilute CW tribute? I'm sure Ruth will get something at the next game. Unless Casino goes before that.

December 30, 20241 yr Going to away matches on Hargreaves supporters club coaches probably mid sixties Ruth was the dominant presence at all times , we even worked out that if you stood close but not too close to Ruth you might kop for a complimentary ticket. Course we were relative kids really fourteen/fifteen yrs old. She was pretty unflappable because away games were ,shall we say ,lively Having your coach bounced by Birminghams Zulu forerunners was a bit hairy ,if the old bill didn’t turn up when they did , the coach would have been on its side. Ruth must have seen it all both on & off the pitch unfortunately but she was a Wanderer through & through and was always Bolton Wanderers no.1 fan I’m sure the club will come up with a tribute. Rip Ruth.

Rip Ruth. My Dad ran the supporters clubs coaches in the 70s, Ruth, Phyllis etc at every single game. Bus over turned coming back from a night game once and landed on its roof. Was a miracle all passengers escaped with only minor injuries.

December 30, 20241 yr My favourite memory of her was taking my seats at the game in Toronto (thinly veiled) in 2010 right by her Me and my 2 daughters were there. She was so engaging and delighted to see two teenage girls in BWFC shirts watching the Whites so far from home. A truly lovely lady Very different to the ale can Deane Whites that I also encountered that day 😁 Edited December 30, 20241 yr by MancWanderer

Rest in peace 🙏 Can’t believe I found out she’d passed through Facebook before work even knew! Lovely lady, used to chat to her about Bolton and how I was a season ticket holder. She didn’t tell me she was bloody famous! 😂 Edited December 30, 20241 yr by bolton_blondie
