  • Never understand why the insults start when somebody has a different opinion..🤷‍♂️ Been a season ticket holder since I was a schoolboy (back in the 70’s) and I didn’t think it was THAT cold tonig

  • I know he's a bit of plonker but as a fellow man, I can't not feel sorry for the bloke. His head will be up his arse.  I hope it comes to an end soon and he can fuck off on holiday somewhere

It was certainly pretty sparse looking across from West Upper. Filled up a little bit in five mins before KO but you'd be not far off with that number. Went for a brew and a pasty at HT and walked straight to both tills

At least some food was available!

Someone on here said they had run out in the ES at weekend!

Ignoring the stats surely anyone who has been to a good amount of games this season could see that yesterday’s set up and performance was light years ahead of a lot of the dross served up this season?

I know it’s a results business and we still ended up losing but atleast we there was evidence of structure, formation, control, link up between players.

It looked promising when Charlton didn't lay a glove on us

We looked at our best for the most part playing 5-3-2 between reading and Stockport and for most of that had Dempsey

But let's see how we get on

I don't fancy much at Huddersfield  but then, on paper (the paper where we're 3 points off the play offs) up until Wrexham away then Brum at home in march we've got

Northampton, h

Reading, a

Crawley, h

Shrewsbury, a

Orient, h

Crucial in that we need to be winning all those

Northampton, Crawley and Shrewsbury are in the bottom 5

Reading and orient sit between us and the play offs

If we're to make them we can't afford to lose any of those

Or we need to beat more of the likes of Huddersfield, Wrexham, Brum, Stockport, Wigan etc

As nice as it looked at times last night the way it panned out didn't fill me with the confidence we will get the results we need moving forward

I don't see how IE recovers from this or turns it around, so it's now or never for me to bring in someone who might

Otherwise it'll be more of the same to see us out to a mid table finish

Go to Blackpool next season where you can be the biggest show in town with fuck all pressure Ian lad.

Evatt concluding negotiations on his new contract at Blackpool

Crowd was in good spirits till the end played better, unlucky not to get at least a point we deserved at least that Defence is woeful has been since Jan last year always looks nervy. talking to Charlton fan last night said the same that our defence looked all over the place and had mistakes in them that's why Charlton changed Thier attack. Good point it wasn't as cold as Saturday

Is there a ‘fckn bottlers’ percentage bar on there anywhere?

Good points..

But Saturday felt like a loss as we were that bad. But last night was much improved and I honestly didn't see us losing it on 70 mins.

"We look at them and they've got the win, but very direct, very simplistic. I'm not sure I'd want to watch that every week. But we play a brand that is really difficult to execute and at times we haven't done it well enough."

‘Brand’? Fuck me. He’s off his tits.

He really does think we’re Barcelona doesn’t he ?

I didn’t once think this lot are a load of cloggers. Same with bottom of the league Cambridge. They looked tidy in possession. And they’ve beaten us twice this season.

So perhaps you might consider sticking your ‘brand’ up your arse.

Anyone got our W D L stats from Jan 1st 2024 to the present day?

Will be it over 50% win ratio though?

GTFI

Didn't see that one coming this morning. But understand the decision.

Delusional in the end.

Charlton playing staff will have been aghast at those comments, then laughed their tits off all the way home.

Just really glad it is over and everyone is put out of their misery. Thank you for a lot of amazing memories Ian, you brought a good feeling to the place again after so many lows, but it all became too much. On we go

It needn't turn out as sour as it did.

Prolonging it the extent they did was mad.

Between January 1, 2024, and January 22, 2025, Bolton Wanderers played 46 matches in all competitions, achieving 21 wins, 12 draws, and 13 losses.

Only 13 losses? We’ve lost 10 this season.

I'll post this now he is still with us and hopefully on the mend. This happened on the row behind us. He just keeled over and appeared to be unconscious - The incident started just as the teams came out. Luckily there were a couple of medical professionals in the crowd who administered CPR & mouth to mouth before word finally got through to the paramedics who arrived arrived with a defib pack.
