This stage of the season I couldn't care less. 3 points. Onto Tuesday.

  • He scored a header against Blackpool a week ago.

And, true to form

Tough watch. They offered little until 1-0 down and even then, not much. Well organised though.

Lack of genuine pace up top / out and out striker shows on days like today.

Probably down to 1 from 3 for 6th spot now. 10 points from last 6 needed I reckon. Dempseys return could be timed to perfection. Massive player if we keep him fit.

Hes a dick

But

I do wonder if Santos thinks to himself, Im not crippling myself for anybody other than Evatt

As others have said, just get the 3 points - job done!

Another clean sheet is a huge positive considering we’ve shipped 1.5 a game prior to Wigan. Forino is definitely no frills, but he seems to be making a difference with being solid (and Baxter being back in goal - some save from him).

I like JDC but he’s definitely wasteful with his delivery considering how many times he gets into good positions. Jones’ ball for the goal shows his quality in those positions, although I don’t think he’s better overall to take that spot.

Rotherham will be a tougher game. I know they’ve had a shit season but they’re always hard to beat and so any win on Tuesday would be a huge result in my mind.

Im picking my way through

Looking forward to your comments on his top class save

Keep picking, thats what a childish twat you are! I will say it again, hes the main reason that our game as slowed down to a snail pace. Once he starts passing around the back, the defence follows suit, then passes into midfield with our players marked. And, as previously stated, it was a good save, thats what he gets fuckin paid for!

A wins a win;

Numerous references to evatt ball today. As with evatt, we we really struggle to get the ball forward, no movement from up front, without a striker and no forward running with the ball from midfield. Such a poor standard of football on display today from both teams. Maybe Farino edges mom for us with a 7/10. Struggling to identify a Bolton player above that today. We've also been awful on family days before, as we have in local derbys, so I guess that's an improvement. There won't be many kids recruited today, wanting to go to see more of that.

A wins a win though, right?

Even today there were at least 2 or 3 things he did that showed just what an asset he can be. I’m also convinced that he’s the key to improving the front line because he’s so good at backing them up from midfield and providing support to the attack.

If he stays fit, a midfield 3 of Morley, Sheehan and Dempsey for the majority would massively improve our chances.

I did say we need 19 CBs

You did. Annoying because it’s yet another change, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Forino and Johnston as the centre back pairing from now until the end of the season, I think it’s a good combination - just hope they stay fit!

(GT can stay at left back as well, I really don’t mind the idea).

Feel free to guess. I didn’t say it was an issue - simply asked you the question.

You’re wrong because I know he wants to play for us. I also know he played through earlier in the season when most others would have said no.

I’ll not be offering proof but I know. I said on here back in December / January that he wouldn’t be signing a new contract and he’d return to London.

Have faith in me @woolli. And enjoy todays result, if not performance.

100%. I’m hopeful he can get more out of McAtee and Collins, and allow them to play as a proper front two without having to drop deep quite so much.

Ive enjoyed the result, performance at this stage is secondary, but, going back to Santos, hes not played for months, and, funnily enough, no one knows actually what the injury is? The reporting/publicity as been minimal, and, like i said, yes, im guessing, i dont think he will play for us again. A waste really, because, on his day hes a top defender at this level.

SS says he has a pelvic injury

One thats really tough to get over

Obviously, he might be covering for a bloke he owes nothing to.....or, you could be an absolute pellet @Spider

Notable thing today, another header from Collins, great that he's showing that can actually be part of what he offers, timed his run onto it really well

Correct.

But Woolli prefers to whine about it. It’s his default setting.

oh, and apparently he knows santos personally.
