Are we assuming will be postponed due to International call ups ?

ACD must be close to U21s if he made long squad last time. Not sure what Stevenage have and if any earlier postponements they had were due to other teams ?
 

Bradford at home is the week after and away tickets for that were sold out last week. No mention that I have seen about these.

Ticket office/whoever makes decisions re ticket sales, will be as frustrated as fans.  They can't win, if they didn't put them on sale till a week or so before the game they'd get criticised.

I'm repeating what I said for the Burton/Huddersfield games, but either no L1 games should be arranged in the first place (as per the championship), or clubs should have to make a best-guess decision at least a month before the fixture and stick with it.  Its a joke.

Suppose they'd be more exciting if you're a fan of a team that might be on the brink of world cup qualification that don't normally make it, but they are a pain in the arse. Especially the one straight after season starts theres no momentum or anything.

I heard next season they're having less breaks but longer ones to take in more games at once

Fair enough.  But we should avoid the midweek pre-Wigan, that will give them an advantage straight away, its not like Stevenage is going to be anything other than a tough fixture.

So its 7 L1 games from 4th Oct to 6th Dec (9 weeks), then probably 13 L1 games in under 8 weeks from 9th Dec to end Jan, plus a few cup games.

We don't play Stevenage that weekend, but we won't know till about 10 days before so don't go making any other plans just in case.

Next season the good news is there's one less break in Sep/Oct, the bad news is it lasts for 2 weeks!

That’s where the logic should be if 11 days beforehand is considered too late to put tickets on sale, then it’s too late to call it off, too.

When you think about it, we’re quite literally one of the only clubs in the world in this ridiculous position of having different outcomes for different weekends so UEFA, FIFA, even the EFL will say that we’re an outlier and it works fine for everyone else.

Gutted for the stalwarts who have been fucked over at such short notice. 

Selfishly, if it's a weeknight, I might be able to wangle a little work day at head office in Hitchin and treat myself to a cold, wet December 0-0 in Stev... erm, maybe i'll fire the box up instead 🙃

Agree but not sure if the EFL just make the decision there selfs when it’s played and the clubs may be don’t have a lot of say in it 

Arent they supposed to be played at earliest possible date??

If we lose in the cup we might be able to play on the date of the 3rd round

If Peterborough win and we lose then we could play Stevenage that Saturday 

It would be logical to play on FA Cup 3rd round day if we lose and Posh win, but that also means no decision on the date being made for another 5 weeks which is probably unlikely.  

Unless we get one of those convoluted one's as we had for Huddersfield away when it was "we might play on such a date unless this happens and that happens in which case we'll move this one to Monday afternoon and play the other one on Thursday morning, not withstanding an away tie in the next phase of the U21s cup in which case that takes priority" or something.

Don’t think they will have any issue in waiting for that possibility, didn’t that exact happen with Rotherham away (I think?) last year?

Bigger immediate concern is the scheduling of the Swindon game and the knock-on effect on the Mansfield away game.

Yes I think you're right re Rotherham last year.  Splitting hairs I know but there's an extra week to wait for the 2nd round this year (its very unusual to have 5 weeks between rounds) and I wonder how long they're allowed to wait, time will tell anyway.

At least the Swindon/Mansfield dates/live TV games should be confirmed fairly soon and well before they are due to be played.

I can't stand them and its ridiculous there are three before Xmas, season never feels to get going properly till we're nearly in Dec, stop-start all the way. The break period itself is tedious, as are the vast majority of the games

Stevenage haven’t even arranged the other two they missed for international weekends so don’t expect this being arranged this year
