Yes he has only Simons and Cogley are the changes from last week replacing Christie and Sheehan

Nothing wrong with our right wing whatsoever!!!

Guarantee its Neither or even TuTu

Who mentioned right wing :D

2-1 Bolton

Although suspended Sheehan has definitely shut me up lately saying he can't play in a 2 🙂

It is late November and we have won once away from home. A win here would be a massive boost. A point not a bad result.

I thought this lot were falling apart but they are right up with us and despite the Barnsley hammering also this month won 3-0 at Stockport.

Aye, can see it being a tight one.

aye, they don't draw much, tend to win or lose

we've lost 3, they've lost 7

they're one point behind us, on -1 GD, we're on +8

It's more than called for. Bolton v Luton, FA Cup 4th round, as recently as February 1973, 39,500 on, he spent the whole game kicking, mauling & abusing our young team and winding up the Bolton fans.

If it really upsets you I call him a twat then I offer cunt as an alternative.  Take yer pick.

I was at the 1973 game , I cannot remember him being dirty, but it is a long time ago . Anyway it is not worth getting stressed about   something that happened 50+ years ago. Enjoy the weekend 👍

I’d take a draw tomorrow if offered it now. Not sure we’ll get one.

Thats the game west ham fans came up with Luton - a lot dressed as Clockwork Orange - Not sure but think they were on the level end where it kicked off big style

Your memory fails you then.

50+ years, to a Bowtoner, is like an hour ago.

But yes, focus on tomorrow. Unless Aston does the half-time draw.

I note that he runs Petz World in Stalybridge and has a market stall in Glossop, selling pet food and supplies. I may pop by.

Lever End wasn’t taken by them.

@bolty58 has a great story from that day.

The clockwork orange guys were actually Arsenal fans who lived in Bedford but joined Luton for the day.

I was with about 5/6 of my mates at the top of the car park when they came down Manny Rd and these guys were at the front of a mob about 50 strong so we kindly moved out of the way.

They piled into the Lever End but lasted about 15 minutes before they got scattered all over the place. There weren’t countless darts thrown, that’s a myth.

But, fair play to ‘em, we hadn’t seen anything like it before. Anyway following week we had a midweek away game at York and Boots makeup section got raided by guys eager to wear eyeliner and war paint (lipstick) 🙄.

In the away cup game two years ago I got talking in the pub to one of the Luton lads who got chased out of the Lever End that day. He remembered it well.

Love it.

Who did take it then? United 75? Chelsea 81?

This lot ere reckon they did after the incident.... :)

Chelsea were the first to take it and Colin Ward’s book ‘Steaming In’ describes it exactly as it unfolded.

Utd took it the following season, there were fucking millions of the cunts.

That was it, just them two. Leicester and Boro both had a proper go but ended up coming unstuck.

Great book that.

Remember the bit about a fella on turnstiles shouting it's bedlam in here as it was all going off inside.

I was on the Lever End that Chelsea day, madness

Only had two turnstiles in the Lever End and the one at the end had bars bent so us kids could climb through

Could do that until i was about eight then my dad lifted me over before he paid......Wonder if he ran that one

We heard this noise, looked up Manny Rd and there were probably only 3/4 of them at the front with white boiler suits, war paint , doc martens etc and it was a proper shock. We were like ‘wtf?’
It was frightening and impressive at the same time.

Blackpool definiteley didnt - dont think they ever really showed

Aye.....during my time,  Utd were the only ones to "take" the Lever End & chase Bolton fans out , though Chelsea got the better of it, they couldn't clear us out !!

Others who tried & failed were Leicester, Man City in the night cup game ( best atmosphere ever for me with 2 huge mobs in the Lever End ), Sheff Wednesday, Stoke in the Sunday game was brutal, & Forest smaller in numbers but with some hard bastard "greasers".

Hull, Luton & B/pool  made very shortlived efforts.

I believe from the elders that further back, L/pool & B/burn !! went on the Lever End.

Correct.

Blackpool in the Lever End? 🤣

They hardly ever turned up in any numbers in their own end, never mind the Lever End.
