One away win in eleven with ACD so I don’t think you can say that. Also didn’t play at all against Bradford and we did ok.
December 9, 2025Dec 9 We win: everyone that moaned about the Swindon line up and result can take a running jump, irrelevant game, the whites are going up. We lose: away form is diabolical, what was the point of resting those players at Swindon, we're doomed. Unless its a draw and positive performance, there's going to be no half measure. SS is going to be hero or villain in 3 hours even more than a normal league game, because Swindon gave it extra context/significance.

Or perhaps the idea is to be a bit more defensively solid. Control the game more and use them later. It isn't just about ACD and his goals neither. Burstow hasn't scored away and we need to find a way of getting more goals away from home throughout the team. It was windy on Saturday, and we turned them round first half because of it. It didn't work, and it is windy tonight, and probably will be a heavy pitch. Win the battle, and if necessary use the wingers to take down tired limbs later. We have to try something different.

We've got points in 5 away games and it would have been 3 without ACD, 2 goals and an assist. Nobody else threatens to score except Dempsey. I always fancied one of our strikers to nick a goal away last season but it feels a long way from that currently, hence the importance of having ACD, but I expect him to be on after an hour.

Completely agree, tbf toal and Johnstone have both done well last few weeks but you just know they have a clanger in the locker. I didn’t see the Swindon game so can’t comment on his performance but from what I can gather toal had a shocker on Saturday. For me Forester did well when schuey came in so I can’t understand it either. I love his attitude, mans a warrior and that’s what we need in this league.

Another bit of selective interpretation there. No one knows whether a different person would have scored, or set up someone else. Of course he has been our main man, but we can't rely on him entirely. He's played a lot, we have many games to come in a short period, and we're trying something a touch different. Nothing wrong in that. Unlike playing 3 fannies in midfield as pet Saturday!
