The team just looks like it had no chemistry at all. Playing passes the other wasn't expecting, over hitting it, looking worried and way too passive. Looked like a first pre season game. Sch

  • So poor that today. Limp, weak, no intent, no drive or desire to score. A touch too many, poor decision making and absolutely wank final ball. Not a shot on goal, fuck all created, slow

Pretty sure other teams are on the same boat. It’s up to you to fire them up. We haven’t played well in any of those 4 games.

Anyone think SS might walk away?

Its on its way to getting toxic again and he doesn't seem happy, he looks uncomfortable in his own skin at the moment and unless he's had pressure before and knows how to handle it then its only going to get worse.

Could damage his career long term if he sees it through to its ianevattable damp squib ending or even worse it could damage his health.

Can't see it i'm sure his is on a decent wage and we know Sharon won't sack him.... couldn't care less about his long term career tbh

Anyway, touching distance.

Still only lost the same number of games as Lincoln.

According to the BBC, Lincoln had just 33% possession at home today.

Won 5-2

Anyone up for St Valentines Day?

We're 4th ffs. Every team has a dip in form during a season. This is ours.

It's only just over 5 weeks since we played really well in a top end of the table clash with Bradford. The regression since then has been alarming and, based on the last two games, shows no sign of being halted.

Since we started this squad rotation nonsense

It's all too familiar at the moment.

It doesn't seem to matter which personnel SS choses, it's same drab, predicable, lacklustre performances at the moment.

I have no idea what our plan is and it doesn't seem like the players do either.

I don't think there's a single player who has improved or gone up in value under SS either.

Is it bollocks getting toxic. Other than towards the ref, there was barely a murmur of discontent until we started passing it round the back in the 95th minute.

If he walks away (which he won't) he won't sniff another job near the top half of League 1.

I know we kicked this about in the week and might have disagreed, but the crowd, thin as it was, were supportive and behind them, till those last few, rudderless minutes.

When was the last time ACD went passed a fullback.

He's below his usual standard yet in the last 5 games he's the only player to get an assist.

I dread to think where we'd be without him this season, he's carried our goal threat all season and is entitled to a flatter spell, during which he's still our only threat other than Christie's corners today.

Definately hit a bad spell, but won 3 draw 2 lose 2 of the last 7. There's still hope we can turn it round, but he has to find his best team and stick with them.

Shambles, IPt.3.

He needs to decide his best team & when fit & available fckg play it.

Well done to all who turned out today it was cold, pity players couldn't get going strange atmosphere very quite it seems as though we all new what to expect.

Felt sorry for Burstow he made some good runs but no through ball he had his head in his hands at one point with the frustration we need to play more than 1 striker at home there now seems to be an inevitability in the team that we are not going to score, scoring no goals at home in 180 mins against bottom teams is poor when teams around are knocking in 3 or 4

An absolute insult to football. Duller than the ditchiest of ditchwater.

When we're playing well, it's brilliant and he's the man for the job.

Then we seem to drop off a cliff, and he struggles for an answer.

Don't get it.

Its just that if ACD is off his game, we don't play well.  We don't have an alternative that leads to goals, because we're effectively playing without strikers.

Awful game and the excuses start players are tired haven’t other teams had the same issues and we have had a fully fit squad so do we have the best squad in league 1 ?

The malaise seemed to have spread to the club, who looked like they couldn't be arsed putting the fixture on. No food of any description in the West Upper and no hot drinks on a day when it was 2c outside.

Burstow looked like a fed up Marcus Rashford on Thursday, jogging about with the sulks on. To his credit, he gave his head a wobble and grafted hard today, put good runs in, held the ball up fairly well and showed for the ball, despite the service to him being abysmal. Taking him off was ridiculous, he still had energy and looked to be playing himself back into a bit of form.

Agree 100%.

Assuming his best team includes:

Conway, Toal, Johnston

Gale, ACD, Simons or Erhahon

Burstow

Then the above are all young/fit enough to be playing a couple of games a week.

The likes of Sheehan and Dempsey (and Christie if his first choice RB) would need to be rested every now and again, but could play pretty much every game.

But if these guys all played together and trained together each week they’d surely become much slicker, quicker and know whether they want balls to feet / in behind, where to cut it back to / cross to in the box etc.

Down to 6th in 15 minutes since you posted this.

Wasn't two wins in 10 to start the season a dip? Or back to back away losses to Northampton & Burton?

When does our dip for the season end?

Fans are voting with their feet, quiet around the ground. It's no fun supporting us ATM. I'm not convinced that SS knows his best 11. He seems to be using fatigue as an excuse to "rotate" players. We created less today, but surely a proper striker gets on the end of one of Cissoko crosses in the 1st half.

A tough sell to prospective signings, due to the way we've played.

Do we work on shooting 1st time or finishing routines. Keep making the same mistakes of wasting opportunities, and not learning or improving.

To be throwing fatigue in to the equation sounds like a desperate excuse when there’s probably only Johnston who’s played anywhere near the full number of minutes.

We’ve also probably had the most generous set of fixtures too, with the only relatively lengthy trip being a week before Christmas and then having three home games out of four.

Agreed. Isn’t the whole point of his bingo machine rotation that the starting 11 shouldn’t be fatigued because he’s swapped a load out from the last game.

Not as expensive as repaying £4m of bond holders’ money if we’re still in league 1 in a couple of years.

Don't forget our 8.5% annual interest too 😄

My point is; talk about Schumacher "walking away" when we're in the play-off spots halfway through the season is fucking mental.
