  • Sam Dalby. The man was possessed today, one of the best striker performances I’ve seen for us in ages. Hold up play, link up play, winning duels, getting us up the pitch, threat from set pieces/crosse

I think there should be some mention of the Grade A shithousery by the WSL faithful when we were under the pump at the death. Barnsley rush the spare ball to their long throw specialist, he’s winding

That’s kind of the point. It’s no coincidence that Dalby’s renaissance has coincided with McAtee’s upturn in form. It’s almost as if two players with differing styles can actually complement each othe

 Drama queen. No surprise.

'Fascist state'. Like your North Korea?

Wasting your time 58, Lustys been over and spoken to every one of those 40m poverty stricken underclass and probably most of the 7m skivers we’ve got over here as well.

Luton after Connell by all accounts

Not surprising, they were after Morley as well, Wycombe outbid them in the end.

We owe these guys one at home as I can’t remember last time we beat them at home.  This is our best chance they have a game midweek and whether their two best players will still be with them after today who knows but I had a feeling McAtee will play Saturday but for which team?

I think he'll be starting for us this weekend. But even if we sold him, I'm sure part of the deal would be for him pick up a knock in training before Saturday.

At least McAtee knows which game he needs to turn up for on Saturday, and he can sort tickets for his family and friends.

I'm sure when he arrives someone will tell him which dressing room to go to and hand him an appropriate shirt.

Reminds me of my Sunday League days when one team had 9 and the other had 13 and 1 of our subs (never me obviously) would play for the opposition just to get a game.

If McAtee goes back to Barnsley, no way should he be allowed to play on Saturday. Because he'd be nailed on to score.

Should allow us to finalise Hardie and maybe have a knock on effect re: any potential McAtee bid..

Or swapped teams at half time because they're a bit imbalanced.

I do recall being told the name I had to give if the ref 'wanted a word' & on one occasion being asked "if your name is xxxx why do your teammates keep calling you yyyy ?" "Dunno, they keep doing it though. I think I remind them of someone".

Tough challenge Barnsley but I have confidence in our new look team.

Dangerous team Barnsley. When they’re on it, they’re capable of giving anybody a shooeing. But they are inconsistent.

I think it’ll be a draw. A win would be a brilliant result

They've got games in hand but are 15th for a reason.

Up there with one of the worst defences despite still playing 3/4 games less than everybody else.

And they've just lost by far their best attacking goal threat.

Get at em with the new wingers and attackers and make them shit their pants.

3 points.

I know mate. Still, we have the joy of his meandering football musings :rolleyes2:

I’m not sure he will start against Barnsley, I think it may be Kenny alongside Dalby. Difficult choice now for SS.

Let’s not start building Barnsley up into some top class team for the division. They are not the force they have been in last few seasons. Let’s just go out and beat them.

I have always said at this stage of the season no game is must win but arguably every individual game at the moment is must win.

It all clicks and we wallop them. McAtee with a first half brace, assists from Apter and Dalby, Kenny bags on his debut coming off the bench and Rodriguez cameo for last 10 minutes sets up Dalby to put the icing on the cake. Clean sheet, but Johnston still slated as the worst defender to wear the white shirt.

5-0

Liquid football.

Kenny hatty with a foot like a traction engine.

Dalby with 2 walloping headers from outside the box

Barnsley very unpredictable, last 6 W2 D2 L2. Both defeats to the top 2, draws against a poor Wigan side and average Reading.

Start like we did on Saturday and get at them, keep off the players backs and we'll win. 3-1.

Great news in DKD leaving yesterday ahead of this one.

Pointed out on the first page - it looks unpredictable, but they’re predictably shite away from home. L3 D3 in their last 6, conceding 14.

If we get at them from the off and score the first goal we should be fine, but if we concede first it could be tricky.

Their fans are in mutinous mood about their window, folk trying to talk others into boycotting their game tonight

Keep off the players backs? It’s the only time the fans make noise nowadays!
