Stockport County (H)

Beat these fuckers and I think we're definitely in the play offs - 3-1

On another note, just upgraded my grandson's ticket to an adult ticket - £28.00, should have let my mate risk it wit the junior ticket

We're at a crossroads and have been for a while now. It feels that when we lose a game, it's the end of promotion, manager isn't good enough, inquest on every player begins. We win like on Friday

I want a hot date with Margot Robbie. Sadly I reckon, like Wanderers, I've missed the boat on that one. 🙃

Name me one serious player who is on a 'pay as you play' contract. Anywhere in the top 4 divisions.

Good it was a joke.

I must have missed the sidesplitting humorous bit.

You can put that on the numerous times its been mentioned on here about pay as you play contracts

Others got it

You didn't

Apologies

Then offering Forss with his injury record should not even be considered.....Would Rather chase Burstow and Kenny if we are in lge 1. And upgrades if we are in the Championship

Where is the money to sign Kenny coming from?

He's signed a new contract at Celtic

Hull paid £2m for Burstow

I'm glad you clarified "upgrades if we are in the championship"!  Its a different conversation if we go up, it would be a nice problem to have, but talk of who we sign or retain is meaningless until we can confirm which division.

No harm done. Just about where we finish in the top six now.

A month or so ago I was laughing at folk talking about the automatics and suggested that unless we improved we were in danger of falling out of the playoffs altogether based on our form then and the remaining fixtures…..but thankfully we did improve and the win at Argyle and yesterday’s draw should see us over the line.

We still need a win or two to be certain, but for me the reality is that between now and the end of the season our focus has to be fully on ironing out our flaws, improving our performances and keeping everyone fit. Then it’s a lottery.

Kenny was signed by Rogers to have a go at the board. He is way down the pecking order at Celtic Oneil has no interest in him. Every chance they will sell way below the 1m fee mooted  last summer.

Do not know where you got the 2m fee for Burstow it was undisclosed at the time.

O'Neil will be gone by the end of the season

I know a few people connected to Hull City as I used to live nearby, £2m is the figured that was banded about

Last August we kicked off and i could see no reason why we would not finish top six. I thought SS would not get his team and his system until this Summer, but i think we have missed a big chance of the autos for a number of reasons.

The play-offs are a lottery but whatever happens we need a re-build in the Summer, but if he builds his team around two wingers away play-offs will not be good enough next year.

Kenny looks like he has something (pace, mostly), but would need to see more from him before parting with £1m.

There would also be worse investments than Mason Burstow at 22. But I feel like his goal tally flatters his performances so he'd also be on the expensive side.

We paid 1.5m for Randall, 1.2 for Mcatee. Charlton paid 2m for Apter. Does not mean anything. Stansfield 15m

Kenny will only play for them in the Scottish League Cup if he returns.........He has found his level and will want first team football and he wont get that at Celtic

£2m has been pretty consistently mentioned.

Birmingham sold a shed load before they paid £15m for Stansfield but they still could as they are loaded

We are not

Does not answer the question as to where the money is coming from

you cannot have it both ways like i said Burstow was not disclosed. We refused to pay 1m for Kenny in the Summer

I would expect Celtic to take less now than in the summer.

If we have not got the money we walk away. We have pissed enough money the last few years to carry on repeating the same mistakes

I'd have liked to see them both in the team at some point.
Yesterday was the perfect opportunity. Kenny could have played where Apter was meant to and Burstow could have played off Dalby.

I'm not having it both ways, you are

You say we don't know how much Hull paid for Burstow as it was undisclosed, yet you seem to know all the figures we paid for individual players

But you also seem to know that Celtic will take less in the summer, when they are likely to have a new manager and could have no champs league?

And if he continues to do alright but we miss out on promotion, do you think Celtic's valuation will shift if we wanted to buy him?

Nope i have only the figures put out at the time. You seem to think we have no money are you in the know??

Kenny is someone who is on a long contract with no or very little chance of him playing for Celtic. No idea what Celtic value Kenny at, but it will be either very low or they loan him out next season and the two seasons after that....Not the lads fault but he is in limbo and i think returning to us will be about the best offer he gets.

Having watched the goals back the second one for me again was Conway being out of position and beaten by a long ball. They was in possession and it wasn't a breakaway. There was a bit of fortune for them after with their poor shot being deflected right into their players path.

The first goal I don't think you can pin on any one person. Tutu could have done more to stop the cross. Neither centre half attacked the ball and were too passive. Conway could have come across quicker and covered. Bonham could of come and claimed it but didn't commit. You can even look at the way we lost possession instead of seeing the half out. There's no way their player should be chesting in a cross like that from 3 yards out.

I think overall defensively we are fairly solid. We don't concede a lot of goals but those are moments that can kill you in one and done games.

For me if we are playing 4 at the back Jonno has to start LB when fit. He might not be as good going forward but he's not caught out of position and he thinks and defends like a centre half.

Secondly it may be better to go three at the back once we get some CMs back. Tutu and Conway are naturally better wingbacks and the wingers aren't consistent enough or are just poor. Permanantly play Kenny and dalby up top and let them consolidate the partnership before the playoffs.

Depends what division we are in.

Hull might have paid £2m but he's worth nothing like that now and they won't want him back.

Kenny remains to be seen. There won't be many queuing round the block to throw dosh at Celtic for him.

There's dosh available if we go up, that's pretty well touted.

Until then it's a balancing act with loans and cheapos.
