Luton Town (H)

They need to win at ours to have a chance of play offs.

This could potentially mean (obviously other results going a certain way), we could be playing them three games in a row.

They're proper in form too.

3-2 to us

Is the exact opposite of what we should do .

  • This Luton game is one I want us to go out and win. Strongest team available please. Rest players later if needed. End Luton's play-off hopes and put a marker down.

Please do not let this lot grab 6th place.

  • The title was changed to Luton Town (H)

Liquid EFL next weekend, its a shame L2 are playing same time as us. Would have been good to watch Championship pre game and L2 after in Namploy!

As long as Luton or Plymouth don’t get in the playoffs I really don’t mind where we finish. Stevenage win would do and a Bradford draw

Are all the games live on Sky?

Yep, no confirmation of which are on main channels yet

I think they're announced tomorrow

Just seen Stockport game in hand is at home to port vale so assume we'll start the day in 4th

Luton have sold 2k of their 2700 allocation so far. Would imagine they’ll shift at least all these given they’re still in the mix.

I know exactly what you mean, but as football fans we can't complain that our kick off times are messed around by Sky and then bemoan not being able to watch the other games live.

If L1 games were all moved to 12.30 or 5.30, or Sunday 12pm, a few of us would be having a moan.

I thought all 3 EFL divisions kicked off at separate times on the final day usually, sometimes even on separate days, so they could each enjoy all the attention and coverage.

Ko times on final day have been known and set in stone for ages (possibly even since fixtures were announced?) So no complaints from me about notice.

I've just had a look at last year and it was exactly the same.  L1 and L2 at 3pm, Championship 12.30, all Saturday.  Surprised me too!

Its quite refreshing to have these biggish games finalised with 3pm KOs on a Saturday, it feels a bit more traditional compared to some previous seasons.  And I speak as someone that would gladly watch the other games before or after our's, but even better that we can all KO at 3pm Saturday.

I’ve had a season ticket since 1997. I’ve never seen us play Luton Town. We seem to have avoided them through relegations/promotions a lot over the years.

That was the year was last played them at home in the league

We played them in the FA Cup in 2024

That was in the 96/97 season

So if they got a season ticket for 97/98 they wouldn't have seen it

I wasn't suggesting he was lying

We didn't play Luton in 96/97 in the league, we did play them in the FA Cup (6-2 at home after a draw away, it was probably the only time I've seen us in an FA Cup replay played on a Saturday).

I saw us play Luton twice at home between 76 and 78, and once or twice early 80s all in Div 2.

Any other times we've been in same league as them since 82?

Was in the same league in 93/94 and 94/95

We did the double over them in 93/4, McGinlay scored 3.   94/5, 0-0 at home, 3-0 away, SJM another 2.

In the 6-2 cup win in 96-7, just 1.

So we haven't lost in the league to them since they did the double over us in 81-82.

That 6-2 against Luton was the first BWFC game I ever went to. 2-1 down at HT

Thursday night game in May 94. John Hartson sent off for an elbow. Stuart Whittaker mom.

Sure Sneekes smashed a belter in versus them in 94.

Blimey I was at that game, forgot it was a Thursday, it was dead, only 7k there (none of the false attendance figures then).

Two days before that I went to Leicester for a 1-1 draw, McGinlay again (they went up in play offs).

One of those rare dull seasons of being nowhere near top or bottom.

Surprised there's been no mention of the "warpaint " game yet.  FA Cup, big crowd for the time & I think we lost but there weren't many Luton fans still there to see it !!!

Remember that game vividly as my Nan had died the day before.

We still went to the game and it caused warfare with my mum and dad :D
