Bradford Home - 1st Leg Saturday 9th May

Same process as before - you can secure your own seats.

Need to put yesterday’s disappointment behind us and fill the place.

Let’s take a good lead over to Bradford.

On the piss in the afternoon prior to an 8pm kick-off on a Saturday, should make it a belting atmosphere under the lights.

COYFWM 👏

Johnston gets a lot of shit, he was great tonight and clearly really fired up for it. The right attitude for the next two games.

One of the reasons McAtee signed for us was that Barnsley play off semi final. He raved about the atmosphere & that was why he chose us over Wrexham.

We’re at home & need to have a go & I think he’ll start.

On Kenny, I thought it was a smokescreen until I spoke to someone last night. It’s not great news but we’ve more than enough quality to win tonight without him.

the cost of keeping the lights on at a stadium of this size

£2m leccy bill iirc?

said somewhere else recently that whilst the stadium is and always has been fantastic, it’s a financial noose round our necks. Particularly at any level lower than the champ. Taxes, business rates, operational costs, indemnities etc are sky high. Add to the fact we have not held any big events there recently and there’s no way it covers its own cost

Sure there were rumors not that long ago that we couldn’t afford to go up… hence why we were fucking abysmal in the final against Oxford. Tin Hats on.

They have to pay the bond holders 10% if we go up so that’s around £500k; might be some truth in it

Right lads, Shazza says we really don't want promotion.

Paris, take a dive at 2 minutes in

Ricardo, don't bother defending today

I’d be happy with that.

But I don’t see SS going the same way.

Now or never for Mcatee

I know why you're saying it, but its now or never for the entire team isn't it?  As in, there is no 2nd chance (well there is next Thursday, but you get my drift!).

Every time McAtee plays, which is very rare, the pressure is put on him to produce.  Others can have consecutive bad games and nothing is said: Kenny (anonymous v Luton but now we can't cope without him), Burstow (come back well after a dreadful 3 months), Dalby, RR (flavour of the month but has poor games as well as good).

If McAtee starts and doesn't score or assist and/or we don't win, I guarantee he'll be getting more stick on here than everyone else (not necessarily you BTW, just a general point).  He isn't treated the same and I accept he didn't help himself with that stupid sending off.

Rodrigues for McAtee for me there, with one of Simons/Dempsey/Erhahon alongside Sheehan

Gale's pace is an urban myth, he either isn't actually that quick or is too slow setting off or isn't going full throttle.
His finishing and positional awareness are both poor and he's not a team player.

Not saying I think he’s great, I don’t. I just think he offers more threat in behind a slow fullback and more chances to either pull one back or get a shot off

Yes, I'm sure the 10M from the EFL, huge increase in valuation of the players, improved commercial opportunities and stadium and training ground improvements isn't worth it because they have to pay the bondholders 500K

Let's just stop with this smelly conspiracy chat

I am calling the kenny injury as bullshit.......Just does not add up

You'd think there would be stuff coming from the Celtic side of things if he was and his season is over

Makes perfect sense, why else would we bring big Cameron on after 66 minutes

That was worst decision Evatt ever made

I'll wager it wasn't.

Thank goodness, someone reasonable to debate with.

Maybe I’m trying to convince myself that the worst case scenario up front isn’t that bad. 😂

I hear what you are saying on Mcatee. You make a reasonable judgement on both his time here so far and what you feel his contribution will/won’t bring to the party tonight.

I’m certainly no fan boy of his and I can only agree that his time with us so far has been a frustrating, truncated (through injury/suspension) and inconsistent affair.

I can only hope that the good flashes we have seen; good link up play with a number 9, passion, trickery and a reasonable goal threat, would be in abundance for the biggest games of his career.

But I certainly won’t be pinning my hopes on him!

I agree with all of that!  Basically he can be crap - like they all can (imagine if he'd missed open goals from 5 yards twice like Dalby has).  But he does good stuff, like they all do.  Some on here refuse to see any of that, same with GJ.  You aren't one of them, its a clean slate for every player when we kick off, as it should be.

Exactly the more you think about it the more it does not add up.........Kenny would have had to return to Celtic and be treated by Doctors there.......He would not be leaving Liverpool Airport but Glasgow if he was returning to Ireland

It would have been reported straight away in the press up there.

Simons hasn’t given a performance for eight months, while Erhahon has been out injured for almost two months.

if the worst comes to the worst, on what basis do they leapfrog Dempsey as the obvious alternative?

I'm a fan of Simons (if anything like in form, has he has a bit of everything including leadership) but even I'd say I'd be concerned with him going from not getting a kick to starting this game.

And EE the same to a lesser extent - not like he's been outstanding when he's played, fine if SS decides to start him but very hard for us that haven't seen him kick a ball for ages that he should start in a play off.

Not necessarily, ACD and Forss completed their injury rehab with us (their choice)

COME ON BOLTON

Wev'e got our biggest game of the season today, why the hell are people bringing it up about our financial position, today of all days. Concentrate on the game.

It's ok, they're not playing

Complete nonsense to suggest the owners don't want promotion.

If he was injured the season would be over for him......He would have returned to Celtic

did Kenny get injured during the game or in training?

he played the full 90 so not sure how he picked up a season ending injury

When people say season ending injury that usually means something severe. But our season ends in 15 days regardless of what happens.

I don't think it'd be totally farfetched for him to have woken up sore on Sunday, had a scan and be out for three weeks.

The club and Marc Iles are fully aware that this has been a big talking point all week and have deliberately avoided talking directly about Kenny. So either way they don't want people to know if he's fit or not.

The only thing that makes me think it's more likely to be true, is that from what I remember the Simons/Erhahon injury started out as an online rumour, then they were both missing from the squad at Plymouth and SS confirmed afterwards that they'd been out all week and would be missing for the foreseeable.

Equally he also said he stuck ACD on the bench against Stockport to give the fans a boost before kick off. So maybe you could say he's got form either way.
