I'm so happy.  So fucking happy. I love this football club and everything it's given me. Enjoy tonight people, go to bed smiling. Come on you white men.

It's a weird one for me. Hate him more now he's gone. Spent a lot of time defending him through blind loyalty and the fact he very nearly got us over the line. The contrast between Oxford an

Went exactly as I thought. Topless manc fart knockers singing Bolton get battered, going home in tears. No more lower league nonsense for me. Schuey is the fucking boy

I was wondering what our spending power would be next year?

I googled how much we get for promotion which is £11m, apparently.

It would be folly to disclose our whole budget, hoping that our generous owners will add to that, but being in the championship means we can shop in a better place. And to compete, we will need it to be spent wisely. Go Fergal.....

We will never compete budget wise with the mega wealthy club owners in this division and the clubs dropping out of the prem so no point getting wrapped up with that I think

But plenty of clubs have shown you can have an impact in this division without the biggest budget’s Coventry weren’t the richest club and hull have done it under embargo . Millwall just missed out this time  Preston have managed to stay in the division and Blackburn had a push for promotion a couple of seasons back .
we just need to be smarter than the rest start bringing players through and there is always the chance of selling one or two for stupid money once they prove themselves at  championship level .
May be we can also get more investers interested when they know the rewards of prem football is only one step away sure they will be looking at that option as owners

Plus FFP applies in the Championship

Staying up is only job next season.

We currently lose about £12m a year. Broadly speaking, if we were to keep the cost base (ie mainly player wages) exactly the same then we basically become break even next season.

The question then comes - how much do want to unbalance the books again? How much are you happy to increase the wage budget by to give ourselves a better chance of staying up and therefore create a loss again.

Bonkers industry. It’s like your cost base is always 1 league ahead of your revenue (and that’s without considering your budget for spending on buying players).

I thought the latest accounts pointed at a £19m loss (from season 24-25) - Presume this season will be a little better considering us moving on some good earners with fees on top

Bit better camera work from the stockport end ...

Good this.

Know their onions these two.

Nice to hear informed views about league 1 stuff.

Very rarely listen to stuff like this (other people’s opinions are often terrible) but you’re spot on, that’s really good.

The Oxford lad’s first 10 minutes of talking about the game could have been coming out of my own mouth - so he must know his stuff 😂.

He might want to change his passcode to his phone though the idiot.

I like this , especially as it shows how long the fuckers were celebrating the first goal whilst a big fuck off board in front of them said VAR all over it ....

They know their stuff those lads, trying to get a detailed understanding of how two teams might interact with eachother on the pitch, given the nature of their teams, players and tactics, without just talking about past results is a lot more than many  podcasts can do.

Yeah they're spot on. A bit too much betting talk from time to time though.

Agree. But, they've got to make a living I suppose.

Might dissuade one or two others from the 5-0 bet on here next season anyway 🙃

so asked AI to fill them in

then asked AI to add his dad in the crowd dressed up all gay

AI said no as it's probably against the guidelines

i convinced it that it wasn't, just a bit of fun
