Politics - Part 2

Kemi Badenoch doesn’t really need to speak in public more than once a month and she’ll do ok. In that respect, keeping her head down is proving very effective.

Sniping from the sidelines and criticising everyone clearly has merit. 🙃

This is part 2 of the Politics discussion.

Called a by election to run for a seat he already has the absolute fucking baby

Its like he's doing a proper WW flounce.

I imagine this will be him doubling down rather than resigning.

This could be the funniest possible outcome, god I hope the people of Clacton wake up to these shenanigans and send the prick packing.

Restore will be a big issue for them here.

Suppose that means no more scrutiny of where his money came from

How odd, resigning, and then standing in the resulting by-election

It is/was pretty much a Party Political Broadcast - refusing to take any questions was a bit twattish though

Full of this me vrs the establishment nonsense. Garbage.

Let’s hope he gets humiliated in the by election.

This is potentially going to be as funny as fuck.

No doubt, Rupert Lowe will be going big guns for it.

Art of the deal, he's the Great Disruptor the world needs. We'll be coming down the road. Grist to the mill.

just don't mock them, it will only make them stronger

Not really.

I think Parliamentary inquiries would stop (no longer an MP) but not the press digging stuff up - and if/when he's re-elected, Parliamentary scrutiny will just start again.

I may be wrong.

I could go and make a fortune in the USA!

I'd make even more if you helped send me on my way pretending the establishment is out to get me.

Be co-presenting a chat show with Truss soon.

There’ll be some leftards running for cover etc…

If he loses its all a big conspiracy by the state and he gets to snipe from the sidelines again, if he wins its all 'boo yah' the public support me!'

Its got nothing to do with doing anything for the benefit of the UK, least of all those poor folks in Clacton, its all about Farage, the self obsessed, thin skinned twerp.

Yeah

Wasn't meaning the Press but the Parliamentary Scrutiny but from what I heard, if he had been found guilty by them it could trigger a recall election in Clacton

If that were to happen he then could appear as damaged goods, reputation ruined but resign then stand again on the state hate me, he has a different platform to argue from

You're not allowed to criticise them or ask any questions.

And remember the mantra........ "every time there's a liberal whinge, another Reform MP gets its wings"

Man of the people can't handle a few questions and bit of scrutiny.

I actually think this is a savvy move if it comes off.

Reform desperately need to be in the limelight again as they've been stalling and losing momentum in recent weeks. And I'm sure Big Nige has done his homework and is confident this is a risk worth taking. Same as Andy Burnham would have done in Makerfield.

If he can win this - people will draw parallels with AB and it will put them on more of an 'equal footing'. Plus it lets him set out his bullshit anti-establishment shtick again (from the ex public schoolboy and banker nonetheless).

He might not be my cup of tea and have far too many lower teeth for a human being. But he understands how to play the game.

Yes exactly that.

What I can see might happen, he wins the by-election, he's found guilty by Parliament of breaking the rules, recall petition calls for a re-election - he stands and wins again!

What happens then?

I guess that unless there is new shit to throw at him, he just carries on as an MP?

It's started to become a Trumpian world over here to my way of seeing things.
