Politics - Part 2

Kemi Badenoch doesn’t really need to speak in public more than once a month and she’ll do ok. In that respect, keeping her head down is proving very effective.

Sniping from the sidelines and criticising everyone clearly has merit. 🙃

This is part 2 of the Politics discussion.

Farage is 62 so at a guess his daughter is well into her 30s or 40s and given his wealth I doubt she lives at home with him

IIRC he said they gave away where she lived by filming it, if that's the case I'd call it intrusion

If it was her property, why are Sky turning up there asking if he's in?

You obviously know more about this though

It was the address Farage was registered to vote at in the last election. They are doing a piece on the various undeclared properties he owns so going the house is pretty reasonable.

They knocked, were told he was not there and left according to Sky’s statement. He can sue if that is wrong, but he won’t because he will then have to go into court and answer lots of questions about his financial dealings

He has been photographed multiple times times outside the same property so it is hardly a secret get away.

My understanding is this all goes back to the fact Farage only declared 2 of his (at least) 5 properties in the list of members interest. (Interesting it appears 4 of the 5 have been paid for in cash since 2020).

https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/politics/farage-and-partner-own-4m-property-empire-but-have-only-declared-two-out-of-five-homes-407504/

Sky news did knock on the door of one of these houses, where one of his daughters lives. In the link below under #4 it says

Last week, in an article about Farage’s growing property portfolio, the Times did print a photo of a house in which, the paper said, Farage’s daughter lives. However, the property, owned by Farage, was identified only as being in a “Kent village”, with details on an address plate blurred out. In contrast, as pointed out by one Tory MP, Farage has in the past happily posed outside the same home, with the address plate visible.

As is the case with most of what Reform spokespeople are doing atm in media interviews there is this shouty faux outrage at everything in a sad attempt to make them look victims of the establishment / deep state / mainstream media. It’s not working.

Fair enough

I was going off what he said and obviously there's more to it

Cheers

You obviously took that as a dig which it wasn't

Fwiw one of his daughters (and his partner) were featured prominently in public in I'm a Celeb...

(not that I watched it myself)

So in summary

He’s done a big shit in his pants but forgotten to take them off first.

Bolty and Farage.

I'm sure somebody on the radio, earlier, said that Farage will probably win this by-election, and the investigation will still be ongoing, so he could still end up being suspended, which could bring about yet another by-election. That's just daft.

Like him or not, Farage is usually tactically pretty clever. On this occasion, he's really fucked it up though, and he's being made to look a dick. He suggested the other day he didn't like the scrutiny and thought it unfair.....the press are really going to him for him now, so hopefully for him he doesn't have any more skeletons in the closet, because they'll be looking harder than they ever have done before.

Jenrick is the next skeleton with a history of Russian funding...

They will vote in the next few days as they weren’t around for the initial vote

Imagine, just imagine if Count Binface did win - this must put @bolty58 in somewhat of a predicament, because he clearly loves Farage, but he also pretends to like English/British eccentricity (even when it's forced, like with Boris Johnson)

So, who will he want to win? 😉

Delicious isn't it? I now have first hand experience of what Labours squirming dilemma is like in having to choose to support the LBTGQ alphabet spaghetti mob or their own muslim voters. It's perplexing.

I'm going for an Alka Seltzer and a lie down.

I see that he's already raising the Gaza/Israel issue and threatening sanctions against Israel. Consolidating the muslim vote.

Wonder where he stands on anti semitism. I think I can guess.

Some meltdowns are more fun to watch than others.

This one is an enduring, beautiful example.

he's one of those who is able to critiscise Israel whilst knowing that is not discrimination of Jewish people

like he said himself

"There is no contradiction between a zero-tolerance approach to anti-Semitism and holding the Netanyahu government to account"

for some reason

you think they are the same thing

Funny old game politics, saw from one side he has been criticised for not speaking out enough about the genocide and being a part of Labour Friends of Israel.

Now he does set out his stall and it's a measured and light take on the situation, yet you find reason to criticise that.

As always, if both sides aren't quite happy but also not so upset that they're up in arms, then he's probably got the best of a bad situation.
