Politics - Part 2

Kemi Badenoch doesn’t really need to speak in public more than once a month and she’ll do ok. In that respect, keeping her head down is proving very effective.

Sniping from the sidelines and criticising everyone clearly has merit. 🙃

This is part 2 of the Politics discussion.

The public school educated, city trader who banks at Coutts hounded out by the establishment. Aye

Martyr or not. At least we’ll be shut of the cunt.

Beer drinking man of the people. Lovely chap.

He'll not be disappearing any time soon so either take some bromide or polish the fucker to get it down.

So the 'establishment' parties who fight like fuck with each other day in, day out amazingly arrived at the same decision to opt out within a matter of hours. They are the pitiful ones. Wracked with fear at the rise of Reform.

Just keep building and let the 'Uniparty', the breast enlargement party and the fucking hapless centrists concentrate all of their efforts on trying to discredit simply to keep their collective snouts in the trough.

Keep right on.

Bolty has completely lost the plot, deflect and blame everyone else except for the bloke who took not one but two bungs that we know of.

Beautiful.

Under Ofcom rules Binface is almost certainly going to have to be given equivalent coverage regarding the by-election; likely to be on Question Time and the like.

Can we put forward a WW candidate in Clackers?

Who shall we nominate and why?

It’s glorious isn’t it. TBH, whatever your politics this is Britain at its best. First Boaty McBoatface and now Count Binface in the limelight. Will he have a party political broadcast? Will there be a leaders debate on TV? Would make my day to see Farage arguing with a bin about the price of kebabs.

Back when he was Lord Buckethead.... 😁

Why would you being right or wrong affect me ?

Quite bizarre you think it would. I actually said ‘I hope you win’ if you put the bet on.

It wouldn't because I didn't ask you that question.

It seemed to me I had got on your tits or something with my first reply to you because you answered me back with "understood you first time", "no need for the essay", "It is that clear", and when I replied to you the second time received "will you be putting your money where your mouth is then", which I took as being facetious, so I replied with a statement telling you and everyone else that I'm not a gambler, I don't care who wins the by-election and that I don't take social media seriously in that you get anything for being right and pay no forfeit for being wrong, then asked if that was ok with you because you appeared to me to be on my case.

I was simply just trying to clear the air between us, in case any air needed clearing.

You possibly over reacting and misreading my posts.

You said I had missed your point, I had nt.

‘It is that clear’ was a direct reference to my comment about the correlation between reforms support and areas that have high rates of poverty. Which was my point.

‘put your money where your mouth is’ is a pretty bland statement. I like a bet so use it a lot . You do not bet so fair play. You seem to ignore the bet where I said ‘ I hope you win’ so basically saying ‘I hope you are right’

You have read a lot into the very few words I posted, as you say it is the internet I do not get annoyed just because someone has a different view than me. No air needed or needs to be cleared from my side.

Sluffy's just released his 210 page manifesto. That's just the letterbox-stuffer. The real detail is substantially less succinct.

Good, that's how it should be.

Glad we got that sorted out.

Looks like I dodged a Sluffy bullet or two.

Imagine, just imagine if Count Binface did win - this must put @bolty58 in somewhat of a predicament, because he clearly loves Farage, but he also pretends to like English/British eccentricity (even when it's forced, like with Boris Johnson)

So, who will he want to win? 😉

For what it's worth, Binface won't win, but he will probably secure a ridiculously large amount of votes

there's one thing that makes me want to put £10 on binface at 5/1

which is based on his efforts for Clacton so far

why would they vote for him again

be interesting to see what voter turn out is like this time compared to last

and why wouldn't a load of people vote binface for a laugh

Lovely to see Farage try and use the Trump playbook and go from disaster to disaster - shows we're not quite yet the polarised basket case the US has recently become.

Sweet moderation, heart of this nation.

I'm sure somebody on the radio, earlier, said that Farage will probably win this by-election, and the investigation will still be ongoing, so he could still end up being suspended, which could bring about yet another by-election. That's just daft.

Like him or not, Farage is usually tactically pretty clever. On this occasion, he's really fucked it up though, and he's being made to look a dick. He suggested the other day he didn't like the scrutiny and thought it unfair.....the press are really going to him for him now, so hopefully for him he doesn't have any more skeletons in the closet, because they'll be looking harder than they ever have done before.

That's the bit I don't get

Said all the intrusion into his daughter's life was unfair, which is right for him to say

But into him he suggested it was all unfair on him and he'd had enough

Mentioned stuff that he'd never talked about but suddenly felt he needed to raise it, the cynic in me says it never happened

So if you've had enough, quit the game for good. Leave it, walk away

Not say you're going to re stand as you can't be that pissed off with it all, as it's not going away

His plan has massively backfired and the best he can come up with is that everyone is running scared

He's taking the piss out of the folk of Clacton who he never gave a fuck about on the first place

There was no intrusion into his daughter's life. A Sky journalist knocked on the door and said "Is Mr Farage in?". He wasn't, so they left. Unless they're lying, in which case I'm sure Farage will sue them.

Fwiw, in the General Election in 2024 Farage won receiving 21,258 votes on a 58.7% turnout and received 46.2% of the votes cast (total electorate being 78,245

Election result for Clacton (Constituency) - MPs and Lords - UK Parliament

For comparison in the previous GE in 2019 the Conservative won receiving 31,438 votes on a 61.3% turnout and received 72.3% of the votes (total electorate 70,930

Election result for Clacton (Constituency) - MPs and Lords - UK Parliament

I reckon all the Labour, Lib Dems, and Green voters will vote binface as tactical voting to stop Farage

Some Reform voters who are now Restore voters may now abstain although I can't imagine that would effect the result significantly.

Some Reform voters might now see all the sleaze Farage attracts and abstain, maybe even vote binface?

The vast majority of vatnik, Reform supports will still vote for Farage.

There will certainly be a large chunk of people who didn't vote previously for their own reasons (couldn't be bothered, not registered, not interested) who will this time just to vote binface for a laugh.

The 'floating voters' who I suspect will determine this by-election will be those who voted Conservative last time, some will vote for Farage, some will not and abstain, some will vote binface to stop him winning.

I think Farage will win (with the help of right wing Tory voters) but with a significantly reduced majority.

I really hope binface wins though!

To be fair Sky went to interview Binface's family too.

Farage is 62 so at a guess his daughter is well into her 30s or 40s and given his wealth I doubt she lives at home with him

IIRC he said they gave away where she lived by filming it, if that's the case I'd call it intrusion

If it was her property, why are Sky turning up there asking if he's in?

You obviously know more about this though
