I was watching the game and as far as I saw, the referee didn’t look at the from behind goal angle when looking at the screen. Nobody can realistically say that the Croatia player touched the ball, even from the behind the goal angle which gives a much better view. If you’re not sure he touched it then you can’t say he did. In the context of things this is probably the worst VAR decision I’ve seen.

I've just seen the disallowed Croatian goal. Totally inconclusive. Utterly ridiculous decision to make with certainty. Kane's no pen decision and the disallowed German goal from a corner are a couple of decisions that the process has failed on.

Agree with all above re the Portugal Croatia decisions. What I can't believe is how the Croatians were so calm about it. I don't actually blame VAR but the referee for making those decisions after checking the monitor. He should never referee a professional game again the dodgy cunt.

Absolutely.

T'Egypt had clearly done their homework with those clips- the keeper does seem to go early.

Their pens were measured, and they gave themselves time to see where the keeper was going.

That Aussie keeper lost was the game for them. I didn't realise they'd brought him on as a specialist keeper for pens as I only tuned in for the pens. Fucking hell he telegraphed everything and no surprise they lost.
