Without getting ahead of ourselves, before we hopefully put DR Congo to bed tonight, Mexico, in the Azteca will be a massive test for England and Tuchel.

His interview yesterday, and a mantra which he, and subsequently the media and fans, have pedalled this World Cup, is that the better the opposition, and the more a team will have a go at us, the better this England side will be.

If that’s the case, this will be his true test, because Mexico won’t sit back and frustrate in Mexico City.

Lose either of these next two games, Tuchel and England will have failed.

But a convincing win tonight and a victory at the Azteca will have the other two big guns in our half of the draw worried.

Come on England, let’s turn it up a notch now and show the rest of the world what we are all about. 👏

Assuming we beat the Congo today, the next game away at the Azteca is as tough as they come

I think they were, just lacked a predator in the box, to get on the end of some great balls in, and left Amad out of the game for way too long

Only saw the first half of France.

Very impressive.

Sweden did have a couple of decent opportunities, and had they taken one, then who knows..

Whoever plays them will have to have some belief that the French back line can be broken from time to time.

Aye. There isn’t the huge gulf in quality there once was anymore.

Mexico were class and will be as tough as any of the big teams after France

Congo are good as well
