With unlimited funds (as he was lead to believe) then obviously he could tempt virtually any player he wanted. And Rio is lazy at times In todays Star they are demanding that he resigns, what have I missed and why the f??ck would you want the national coach, who has an outstanding record, to resign so close to the World Cup Finals Clearly I'm numb

Theory: We've all discussed the fact that TV soccer pundits qualification seems to revolve around being a jock; maybe so does being a newspaper sports journalist!

As for whether he should be sacked - should he fcuk. The man is clearly thick and a philanderer, but I think we all accept now that Sven the 'person' shouldn't count towards our opinion of Sven the football manager.

Obviously Ericsson is not a team player so get me in as manager.

Beyond belief really - can you see Brazil, Argies or other decent footballing nations doing the same!!! I think not. The fans would kill the editor of any paper that screwed around with the coach for no reason other then to sell newspapers. Fcuking report the news, not make it. Bunch of kunts.

Yep! thats about right. I have no problem with this or his seedy background. Venables was no angel yet the great British gutter press love the guy. The main reason i'd get rid of him now is that we will inevitably face Argentina or Holland in the QF. That will be the match were Sven will prove once again he is woefully inadequate in his ability to manage a tight game to Englands advantage. I could manage this squad players to qualify for any euro or world cup competition, we have arguably the best squad in Europe at the minute. So this thing about him being successful compared to previous England managers does not wash. In the games that matter, those being Brazil QF 2002 and Portugal 2004, he looked like a stunned frightened rabbit caught the headlights of an truck. The negative approach shown by England in their biggest matches in the two major comps was unbelievable. Players asking for shirt swaps at half time against Brazil was a ragging disgrace. We did not get in a shot on target against a side with 10 men in 45 minutes, in fact we struggled to get the ball within 30 yards for their goal. No! if Sven were replaced by anyone tomorrow England would have a better chance of winning it. For gods sake go!!!!
