Whites man Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Too young for me but my dad always said the turn out at that Huddersfield game in the '70s was massive, he never saw as many Whites away as that day. I missed Hull away in '91 & still regret it. :-({|=

whiteyboy Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 how about Stoke away 95? more bolton than stoke...... and that tw@t Sheron bagged, Police refused to open another end for us, gt crushed...
Wobbly J Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Anfield cup game 2 - 0 . Only time there I've seen an away following creep down the side opposite the cameras.

Bumped into Mike Summerbee near the ground who said 'I'm here to watch a decent team for a change' I assumed he meant us! Fond memories of Port Vale away; Mansfield away etc. in them times. BWFC used to take these places over and create fantastic atmospheres. Any of you lads remember Selwyn Froggitt (Bill Maynard) being at many games around that time to watch Frank Worthy play?
HomerJay Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 i'm sure when we got dicked 5-0 at sheff wed in prem, there were around 7 or 8 thousand... they had to open another section for all the pay on the day'ers...
Carlos Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 i'm sure when we got dicked 5-0 at sheff wed in prem, there were around 7 or 8 thousand... they had to open another section for all the pay on the day'ers... Were there fook, couple of thou.

I went in the nearest pub to the ground at half-time and there must have been half of our away in there
Zozzy Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Any of you lads remember Selwyn Froggitt (Bill Maynard) being at many games around that time to watch Frank Worthy play? Yes him and Franky were best mates and he was often seen at Burnden as was Len Fairclough

MickyD Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I agree with all the selections above and add Grimsby. First match of season for two consecutive years. The fun we had . . . Getting the Munich f??cker thrown out stands out.
bwfcy2k Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Yeovil Town a few years ago in the cup weren't bad! Filling behind the goal, 1-0 up we only won in the last minute from memory

There were over 120 coaches in the car park
