Zico Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 i'm sure when we got dicked 5-0 at sheff wed in prem, there were around 7 or 8 thousand... they had to open another section for all the pay on the day'ers... Were there fook, couple of thou. we took loads that day, filled whole end behind goal, top tier, around 4/5,000 and then had them packing in the corner bit - 6,000 easy 346 by half time (I stayed till the end)
jazza Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 what about southampton away in the fa cup replay in about 91 the end was packed. must have been about 5000 there
Smiffs Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 taking 3000 to norwich and ipswich on consecutive saturdays during the 97-98 season was a good effort too
BittyBattyRatty Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Blckpool away 1990, the crowd according to Sheppard was only 5,435. There must of been another 2,500 Bolton at least, knocking about. I might be wrong but it felt like the whole town had turned out.
Smiffs Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I'd say more like every notright in the town had turned out that day. we went up the night before and it was full of wrong uns then.
Smiffs Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 It was a bank holiday I'm sure, we stayed over, which nobody in their right mind would do at any other time in fact, if I remember rightly, on the way back we met a couple of slappers at moor lane and one of them wanked my mate off on the 582. she's now got about 5 kids and he's in and out of a loony ward

Bolton, Daubhill to Leigh is certainly an adventure. Wasn't Mad Gail was it? Big ugly trout, cock of Bolton girl's and could be found most evenings on the bus station or 'riding' free next to the driver often wearing said driver's hat?
Smiffs Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 No, wasnt her and I shouldnt post her name either but she did live in westleyth.
Casino Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 notts county fert hammering in the league cup went for a pie and missed 4 goals bit like the reebok really
Zozzy Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Yeovil Town a few years ago in the cup weren't bad! Filling behind the goal, 1-0 up we only won in the last minute from memoryNot many Bolton fans there for that one, it was on telly. There was only one coach and Ding Dong Do Dave said there were spare places on it. That was were I met biff and satangreavsie for the first time. #-o
Casino Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 That was were I met biff and satangreavsie for the first time. #-o those two have really led you astray

leigh white Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Derby A, 77 in the League Cup, had the whole stand behind the goal, a lot better than the FA Cup, when we was allocated that "Cant see nowt Paddock"
pardon Posted April 16, 2006 Author Posted April 16, 2006 remember that game it was a nite game . we took thousands that nite and if i remember chased derby down a long rd near the coach park . there must have been over 200 coaches from bolton that nite.
TrickyTrotter Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 I was at Huddersfield, also remember an evening game at Bradford City think it was the same season. 18000 crowd at Blackpool (Boxing Day?) when Ray Train made his debut. Also thousands of us stuck on the M621 not making it to the second cup replay against Newcastle at Elland Road and eventually turning back. Kicked off at Hartshead Moor services halfway through the game.
leigh white Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Managed to get in Bell End Rd, on the Gelderd end, police were saying it was the worse traffic problems ever seen in the area, try getting to Leeds now is even worse.
pardon Posted April 16, 2006 Author Posted April 16, 2006 they estimated over 20.000 bolton travelled to leeds that nite with thousands locked out and hundreds walked on the moterway just out side of leeds. #-o
leigh white Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 That new By-Pass road was still being built, but every coach was pulling over on the hard shoulder, to allow fans to get to the game.
bolty58 Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 they estimated over 20.000 bolton travelled to leeds that nite with thousands locked out and hundreds walked on the moterway just out side of leeds. #-o Aye, we got out in the hard shoulder and walked it to the ground. No hassles at all with the Geordies but a few run ins with Leeds hanging about around them underpass things near Elland Road. Tw@t of a ground to get to and from. Ambushers paradise.
Mounts Kipper Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 our coach turned round, i was gutted, the atmosphere looked awesome in elland road, i wonder if there is any footage of any of them newcastle games still around, i would pay good money to have them on dvd, they were 3 awesome games.
