Boo him, "The 'lying' Prick"

I wonder, if for whatever reason, his return is succesful and Newcastle win.............will he be quite gracious about it and reserved in his celebrations (as he loves BWFC so much........ahem) or will he be jumping around like a big buffoon?

He's just another manager now to me. Feel pretty ambivalent to him.

A round of applause to thank him for what he did for the whites then on with the future!

i can understand people booing him.

i can not understand people saying he is irrelevant unless they have just come out of an 8 year coma.

he is in the past but still a big, significant and succesful part of the past.

i will stand and applaud him.

i hope we shit all over newcastle and will be delighted to sing 'fat sam out' but i will not forget the job he did for the club (and himself and lots of money)

well one things for certain, we should have a full house for once...... SHOULD.

Likewise - will fans boo or applaud TBH when he turns out for the Geordies?

Was there ever a chance that TBH would go to Newcastle? I think that he has just used them to get Chelsea to up their offer.

I just hope that we get one of Sam's blame the ref, his own players, lack of funds, the weather, the traffic on the motorway, (in other words anything but saying gracefully the opposition were better)perorations when Newcastle lose by about 3.

We could make a fortune of selling effigies of FSA and ?pop? them during the games so he feels ?deflated?.

Our players should be well fired up for this first game. Get one over their mentor! Come on boys!!!

Glad its first game

Raise the roof than forget about the fat bastard!

He'll get booed, which I'll be gutted about. And no matter how many people applaud him, booing him will always be more effective.

Either way, the atmosphere at the Reebok has become more flat throughout each season. Even United at home doesn't bring the excitement and atmosphere it once had for me.

It's the start of a new season, and a new era under Sammy Lee. I am absolutely desperate for a full house in this match, and hope we raise the roof like never before at the Reebok.

Big Sam to sit in the stands?

as much as it pains me to admit, well put Ani - spot on!

a decent reception to thanks him for 8 glorious years and then we move on and he is just the manager of another club and gets treated not different!

in a round about way it is a good thing we play Newcastle first up and im sure deep down the players will

want to get one over on their old boss

bring it on

Sums it up nicely, cos that's exactly how i feel.

Unless Newcastle beat us meaning we applaud him, praise him and watch him walk away with an even bigger head and 3 points... <_<

he deserves no response

he doesnt deserve a heroes welcome, although all the good things he did for us, he sold out

however he doesnt deserved to be booed either

we got our use out of him and he was probably at the end of his shelf life

like when ricketts went, he probably went at the right time as we wouldnt get anything else out of him

We may need to expand the size of the opposition dug-out so he can get his walrus sized head into it.

I'll be concentrating on Little Sam and ensuring I replace the words "Big" with "Little" in all songs

I had major problems with this in both of Sammy Lee's games in charge last season.

whatever we did for rioch when we beat arsenal back in '95- that worked...

FAT SAM- WHATS THE SCORE?

a repeat of the day the keegan circus came to town and left with their tails between their legs after kidds hat trick will do fer me

You're not entirely wrong, but the keegan circus came to town and left with their tails between their legs a good two years after Kidd's hat trick.
