Has there been any GREAT songs this century? The music of the last 7 years has been fairly dire imo, if you can think of any - then feel free to name the band/ artist and song title, or even better - post a link to a clip of it being performed.

we have a SLIGHT difference of opinion then frank :D

anyway the question was about songs not singers and I don't know anything about him. I think this is one of them songs that will still be around when our grandkids are our age.

I think there must be subliminal lyrics in James Blunt's songs as I should hate his music, but this song makes me cry (and I consider myself a hard faced cow):

I agree with Zozzy that Dido is a brilliant singer

 

I didnt like her to start with because she said in an interview that her first Arsenal game at Highbury was against Bolton in 1974....but we didnt play there in her lifetime until 1978.
