Those who booed Nolan tonight should hang their heads in shame. And then feck off and don't come back. He isn't at his best at the moment, but cut him and he will bleed Bolton Wanderers. Unlike those to$$ers who booed him, who will be the very same ones who call him Judas when he decides he can do without this shit. Some of our so-called support is a feckin disgrace.

Nothing new in the zoo lads. Bolton fans have always had to have a whipping boy. Greaves, Hunt, now Nolan. The moaning coonts just have to slag somebody. I wish they'd fook off to Old Trafford or summat. Don't give a sh1t if our crowd is down to 10,000 positive diehards.

I must admit I was quite shocked by the reaction - which seemed to come from sections who had been less than vociferous for the previous how-ever-many-minutes.

I am appalled to hear what happened to Nolan when he went off.

There were a couple of close-ups on him in the first half on the telly and I thought he looked out of shape, but NO ONE should ever get boo'd off the pitch especially the captain. It makes me ashamed to admit that there are some brain dead c?nts at the Reebok sometimes.

I had to bite my tongue at two fat bastard rent-a-commentator twats who were mouthing off at Nolan and others all match, only to stand and cheer when he was subbed off.

Yes Nolan missed a decent chance, but generally I thought he did ok, and made a nuisance of himself by getting into the positions he did.

Those who think it's appropriate to boo the Club captain are far better off staying at home.

i personally thought Nobby didnt do so bad today, it was only the OFFSIDE miss that people are noticeing, he's recently getting back on track and it isnt going to help by c*unts wanting him off the pitch, he's our captain and probably are most passionate player wearing the badge and wanting to do well for it, fcuk knows how people can cheer a player off with that attitude.

i have just text nolans dad again( for the third time) apologising for our so called fans abuse towards him. as i have said before all the big mouth wnakers sang his name at old trafford when it didnt matter, it MATTERS when he(team) are not at their best so for fcuks sake BACK HIM(THEM), SUPPORT HIM(THEM)

DO YOU WANT US TO GO DOWN?

DO YOU IN ALL FCUKIN HONESTY THINK NOLAN PLAYS POOR ON PURPOSE

FOR FCUKS FCUKIN SAKE

here is a novel idea.....................................

wait for it.........................

its a bit revolutionary...............

how about for two bastred cnuntin hours you support the team, every misplaced pass, applaud, every wayward short, cheer, every missed tackle sing

it might

just fcukin might

help the team play better

and dont even think of giving it the "he is on 20grand a week shite" because if you know anything confidence cannot be put in a bottle and drank

oh and p fcukin s

we missed hunt last two games

be careful what you wish for

Obviously it wasn't just Nolan with the blindfold/frontal lobotomy!Agreed ,Campo was bad but Nolan is the captain and as such should lead and inspire the other players and it isn't happening.I hope he does make me eat my words and turns into the greatest player ever to wear a white shirt, but I can't see it happening!Got you all warmed up anyway after what must have been one of the coldest nights ever up at the Reebok!

At least Kev is getting in the box to miss those chances, how many times did 5hite balls get crossed in with nobody around to put in an effort ?

hmmmmm I know what I mean, ballcox

Criticising anything to do with the club on this site will cause a certain section of the membership to round on you rather than your opinion Mr or Mrs Shat.

I tend to agree with your opinion rather than those who wish you wouldn't go to the ground.Although i think he was 3/10 rather than an utterly useless 0/10.

I dont think the argument surrounds Nolan's performance. He didnt have a good game, although Campo and Guthrie were both off the pace. He is club captain and wants nothing but the best for this club, the crowd reaction tonight was awful.

You're missing the point progboy. It is one thing to privately think "Dear me, young Nobby isn't having his best game". It is another, completely futile and wrong IMO, to jump out of your seat and hurl abuse at ANY of our players no matter how bad a game they might be having. Completely counter productive and will never achieve what the thick coont doing the abusing presumably wants (i.e. a better individual and team performance). Applauding that player being substituted and subjecting him to ridicule and humiliation fooking stinks. Before anybody bothers with "I pays me money and am entitled to do whatever I want" - don't. Not fooking interested. If you want the best for the team, get behind them and behind every individual player FFS. You would be amazed at the difference it can make.

I thought both Nolan and Campo were diabolical.

They couldn't pass wind let alone a football.

However, as much as I was glad that Nolan was taken off, as fans of a club cheering

the substitution was bang out of order.

As captain of the club, you know when you have had a bad game and his reaction (

fans booing or not) reiterated the fact.

We got out of jail last night as we had to win, but we have got to improve drastically.

Without Diouf, and if Anelka does go, where are the goals going to come from ?

On the positive side I thought Guthrie was outstanding again.

I was ashamed last night when the nobs jeered his exit from the pitch.

They are the ones who drive the players away from this club. They deserve nothing and should go and support the filth down the road.

Getting behind the team is the best policy to get us out of this mess.

Another absolute disgrace. 17000 crowd and a large section jeering our captain who has been with us for years and been totally loyal to us. He is Bolton through and through and has scored some crucial goals for us. Our supporters are a total disgrace. We don't deserve a Premier League Club.

A mate of mine from another Premier League Club who I work with was disgusted that we could possible boo Big Sam when he returned first day of the season and now he has texted me amazed that we could boo our Club captain who most other fans actually think is one of our best players! Undefendable.

No class.

Add to that Jimmy Phillips and you've got a quartet of players who came through the youth set-up. Is it coincidence or do our booing section only have a go at the locals?

I was embarrassed lt the substitution last night. Nolan didn't play well but he was in no way alone.

Yes and, in my opinion, don't boo. There's just nothing in it for anyone; no win.

However, it is everyone's right to do & say what they want (esp at them prices), I just cannot see the point.

He didnt have a good game, although Campo and Guthrie were both off the pace.

Off the pace? Guthrie WAS the pace. He was head and shoulders our best player last night.

Nolan was dreadful - his passing was wayward all night and him and Campo looked pedestrian at best when we went 4-4-2. Still, that doesn't excuse the abuse, which was far more shameful than the performance that provoked it.

As for Campo, now there's a sizeable portion of the wage bill we could free up in the next couple of weeks.

The booing of Nolan was shocking & counter-productive. Just one other angle on this though ....

Should the manager be choosing players week after week who are showing poor form ? Or should he give them a break to get fit and start re-finding the spark ?

This isn't just about Nolan .... think of Campo, Gardner, Davies (recently). Don't we have any alternatives for 2-3 weeks ...... Andranik, Wilhelmsson, Braaten, academy players ??

Agree with most comments, Disgraceful booing of Nolan. What a way to help your captain get his confidence back !!

Its the same people you hear moan endlessley and wont be happy till were in the Conference. On the way to the match all i heard was

'I Fancy Derby to nick this'

'Lowest crowd ever tonight'

'Bet Anelka's already on his way for talks, so we'll have no one up front'

Why do these folk bother going??

The reason that lads who have come through the youth set up get booed is that they remind the booers of what they haven't achieved in life. Says it all about them really.

It was a poor miss but it would'nt have counted, so no use in crying over spilt milk. Nolan was the pick of the midfield 3. Campo was'nt at the races & Guthrie, apologies for slating the golden child, who showed plenty of endevour but no end product.

As others have posted, now is not the time to be getting on the players backs least of all our leading Premiership goalscorer, of all time.

Why wouldn't it have counted? The linesman didn't flag for offside, he flagged for a goal kick.

For me alot of players under performed last,

Meite- consistently out position, and if the ball is played into a strikers feet with their back to him, he just pushes them over, although late on in the match he did try to get the ball forward with a couple of attacking runs.

Andy O - people keep talking about no nonsense defenders but he's also a no common sense defender, quite a few occasions last night a little nod down to a team mate or easy pass into someones feet would have done but instead he just gives it a big header out or a hoof and 9 times out of ten it just gives the opposition a chance to keep us on the back foot, but at the moment we are better with him then without him (very worrying).

Campo - Come in number 8 your time is up

Nolan - Guilty of a shocking miss (even if the flag went up it should have gone in), and never produced anything to get the team out of second gear as a captain should, did put himself in some good positions and on a different day his game could have been a whole lot different, never deserved to be jeered off and thought his contribution as a whole was alot more affective than Campos.

Megson - Must spend his nights reviewing old bolton dvd's of the allardyce era, and copying the tactics from them and yes it's put the home results back on the up (but even allardyce realised these tactics had run their course and bailed), but last night was a lot more about how poor derby are than how well we played. He is definately not the answer and if the press are to be believed (of which i know they very rarely are) the players we are linked with are not either. Slowly turning us into the next leicester city (feel free to put in your own under achieving championship side in here).

but when we are down to 10,000 fans freezing on a jan night wether it's Derby, Man u or stockport i will still be one of those 10,000 .After all we are little old bolton and we have had some great times and to an extent still having great times (madrid), and we all knew at some point it would stop and we would have some bad times again, in the past it was those faithful that cheered the club through and i'm sure will again.

Right thats my rant over, stops me taking it out on the wife and kids. Bring on Sheff u =D>
