exiledwhite2 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Five million depending on what you're reading at the time! I seen it reported ?5m, ?4m, ?4m rising to ?5m and ?3m rising to ?4m. He is reported to have failed a medical at Fulham, but presumably he passed one at Wigan, and would have to have passed one here before the deal went through. ?3.5m million only got us Dean Holdsworth and that was ten years ago, for Christ's sake, so yes, I'd have had a go at him, even for ?5m. Hindsight Enzo, hindsight. Holdsworth WAS proven premiership quality at the time. Seemed a safe bet. He'd had a few decent seasons where he'd chipped in a few. I do agree that the fees landscape has changed though and we (the fans) need to move with the times on that front. ?5m for King isn't such a risk I guess. Not if we were prepared to throw ?7m at Reading for Lita.
Doctor Tongue Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Have a sneaking suspicion...... he could be the signing of the season
jayjayoghani Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 btw not ra -ze-ak rash-ak casino polish contributor How have we been saying it on here?
YATESY Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 This thread has got far too long to be arsed checking if the previous 8 pages includes this... ...like most players compiliations on You Tube he's scored some good goals
The Norpig Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I had a quick scan on youtube and this Rasiak has been compared with Ronaldo, and not the fat Brazillian! Can people really be this stupid?
wanderer13 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 It isnt quite as simple as saying we will be ?8 million better off as there are all sorts of things to take into account. For example, do you really think Chelsea paid us ?15 million up front? No. Do you really think we paid Villa ?5 million up fron for Cahill? No. There are agents fees, parachute payments, bank interest, potential merchandising revenue etc etc to take into account. Before saying things about shortsightedness, perhaps understand that a football club doing business is a bit more complicated than Primary Schol Maths. Apologies for not knowing the exact financial details behind the club as you obviously do but I thought I was merely making a point on an internet forum not submitting the clubs financial statements to the tax office. Interesting point about the primary school maths though. When I was a lad ?20 million minus ?5 million wasn't ?8 million anyway!!!
bolty58 Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 When I was a lad ?20 million minus ?5 million wasn't ?8 million anyway!!! So you're not 13!!!??? A long time until I'll be 58 so makes sense I suppose.
