If we were gonna spend money before Anelka's sale then surely we have a good chunk of that left? Just seems like they had no Plan B until a few hours ago and it might end up costing us more than paying an over-inflated transfer fee...

Out & out quality strikers are always hard to come by, the days of Blake, McGinlay, Mixu & Coyle in your squad are gone... Even proven strikers would rather stay at clubs where they are 3rd/4th choice these days..... Defoe Saha Crouch etc.... to be fair mate... the players we have signed are good but every team needs a star, a player who stands out from the rest.. we dont have one of those anymore....

Rasiak could be a shrewd signing - he is plenty good enough for a squad player If we bring in a Roberts at the last minute I'll deem it a successful transfer window all in all Diouf and Davies and Rasiak and Roberts, that's four to choose from with the Vaz on top and Stelios / Nolan / Taylor who can get a goal from midfield too And 2 defenders in too - strengthened all round Stop freaking out you girls
