Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 That had crossed my mind. How often do they get the chance to play in Europe ?And if it's true, it shows he has no man-management skills - along with no tactical skills & the rest. Dead right Anelka hardly played in Europe when he made it obvious that was one of his ambitions, and what chances of attracting players in the future when we are seen as a club with no ambition
globaldiver Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Bring back big Sam now!!! tripe much of this is his fault rumours abound Re a consortium with him. If he returns, I'm outta here.
MOOSE36 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 thanks a lot you tits you really do make us look fickle.was gutted when he came a few decent results covered the appointment up and now we are getting what we appointed SHIT douif off for j'ob at half time was criminal for me we should be shouting for his sacking now with the hope a new manger can revive us in the last 8 games how many shots have we had in the last 3 games? Said on 5live we took diouf off due to his 1s half yellow- fcking joke,we are now as you say reaping the rewards of a shit cheap manager who is a tit
JimmyRiddle Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 (edited) Well we have all finally got back to reality - back to where we were when he was appointed The guy is a ginger idiot and Garside is even worse for appointing him and Sammy Lee Lets make it clear what we think on Saturday Spot On WMW Edited March 16, 2008 by JimmyRiddle
nomore352 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Eleven men back for a corner against 10 men shows just how clueless Megson is! His negativity has spread throughout the club but really I must conclude that Anelka is just a selfish individual who if he had any loyalty should have stayed until the end of the season. Megson has sold us down the river in every competition showing absolutely no ambition or fight whatsoever! Players earning ?20000+ should be able to play twice a week it may help them to get to know each other cos today they were devoid of any attacking ideas--a total disgrace & insult to all the fans! Worth a punt on doing the double over United though---or do we never learn!
twiggy47 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 since day one newcastle at home we anit ever had it out with the old in with the new never happened which it never was gonna do we are gettin wot we deserve forget it move on as isaid in earliar post which has been took off by the mods blackpool preston reailty
itk_FACT Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 We need a new start and new team, and a new style of play too right. basing an attack around kevin davies stopped working in 2006. we are so limited. even if we'd been awarded a penalty in the 2nd half, i would not have expected any of our players to score past kirkland from 12 yards.

Electric Gretar Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Just got back from Pieland, here's my thoughts about the players performances Al Habsi - a few poor kicks, got his hand to the goal generally didn't have a lot to do - 6 Steinsson - some good challenges, but didn't have an outlet when in possession so hoofed it more often than not - 6 Cahill - Won everything after being fouled constantly, could have been worse but for him - 7 A O B - Dodgy at the back, made a few decent challenges though, once again tends to panic and hoof the ball out, or to nobody - 6 Gardner - was run ragged by valencia, stuck up to the task with some good tackles though - 6 Diouf - sulked when he was booked, never really got in the game, and put a header wide - 4 Nolan - Poor game, blasted a one on one right at the keeper when easier to score, second to the ball everytime - 4 Cohen - Did ok for the time he was on, not the best of players admittedly, but he wasn't afraid to get stuck in, something others can take note from - 6 Campo - Usual party tricks of diving about winnin free kicks, distribution of ball was poor - 5 Taylor - Awful, ran around like a headless chicken and after a TEN day rest, was knackered after 60 minutes - 2 Davies - Tried to win flick ons as the ball was hoofed up to him time and time again, did ok apart from giving the ball away on the odd occasion - 6 Rasiak - Another headless chicken, almost scored with first touch and was none existent after that - 3 Job - A few good deliveries came to nothing from him, generally did ok after running his tits off on thursday too - 6 I am really depressed today!

Would prefer to have Sam back than get relegated. At least he'd have the players playing with a bit of passion.
no balls Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 i never sang ginger mourhinio. he was and continues to be a bad appointment. booing and the team and calling fellow fans tits is i am sure the way out of the position we are now. i bet you would be great in the trenches, blaming the others.. Hmmm, indeed. Infighting is not required. Each has their point of view BUT frankly having a pop at folk who go to the game and get behind their team is f?cking pathetic. I've read a lot of views since I got back from the match. Many of them just mere grumbling rants with no possible positive outcome. Also, a fair few saying if we go down then they're outahere. Have a good look at yourselves, not just the club.

Davies - Tried to win flick ons as the ball was hoofed up to him time and time again, did ok apart from giving the ball away on the odd occasion - 6 (has he given up?) Rasiak - Another headless chicken, almost scored with first touch and was none existent after that - 3 (not even poor; what is he doing in a white shirt?) Job - A few good deliveries came to nothing from him, generally did ok after running his tits off on thursday too - 6 (no attacking threat, though) I am really depressed today!

TotalBelief2024 Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 On the way down now for certain. An awful performance, regardless of whether or not we had been rested on Thu. The key for me was not that we played badly today, it was the in fighting and cross wires. Nolan was trying to get the team to push up the pitch, but Megson was ushering them back. All 11 players in their own area at a corner. We win it, hoof it clear, then invite another attack. Slowest team in the Prem. Our only plan was roll out from keeper to full back. He jogs 10 yards then hoofs it towards the front man. Does not work, hence why we no longer score goals. Leaving players out of the biggest night in recent history may well have backfired. After working hard to qualify for Europe, those very players were forced to miss the big night. Rested or resentful? Yes we should have had a penalty, but we would have missed it, and anyway, that would have papered over the cracks. 10 men were more hungry, fitter, faster and better. Maybe if Megson had done some kind of fitness/tactics work on their week off, we may have held some sort of hope. Al Habsi - Did ok, seems a little unsure. He is our No 1 in the Championship - 6 Steinsson - Hoof and hope, didn't take long to kill the footballer in him - 6 Cahill - Anyone honestly think he will be here next year? Too good for us - 7 A O B - Did ok, saved us a few times on the Wigan breaks- 7 Gardner - Lost it. Can no longer pass, and didn't know what to do against the pace of the winger - 5 Diouf - Usual story, diving, sulking, inaffective. A disgrace- 3 Nolan - How anyone can think he is not overweight is beyond me. Talks a good game but bloody awful - 4 Cohen - Sprightly, only one of the midfield who moves at anything above walking pace - 6 Campo - Terrible overhit passes, and slows the attack down everytime - 5 Taylor - Hopeless. Not sure what he is meant to bring to the squad but we got duped. He is a fat disgrace- 3 Davies - Starting to look pissed off. Why win a header when the closest white shirt is 50 yards behind - 5 Rasiak - Ha Ha. Heads the ball straight upwards when he gets more than 1 inch off the floor - 1 Job - Our most promising attacking outlet. A defender is our best attacker. !!!- 7
bwfcwacka Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Just back from the game and the only word to sum up today is disgrace ! ! ! No fight, no passion and just endless high hopeful balls hoofed into the box which were easy pickings for the defence. I bet Wigan can't belive how easy the game was today I can except losing but to lose in the manner we did was unacceptable. Megson is unable to motivate the team and has no tactical awareness whatsoever. Im so gutted

Knot Lane Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Plain and simple. None of those players deserved to wear the white shirt today. Nolan isn't our captain anymore, he just happens to wear an armband. We lack leadership, the will to win, and most importantly: GOALS. My hamster could give out harsher words than Megson at HT

Bridger Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Why is everone so suprised about our current posistion it seemed very obvious to me that once Anelka was sold we would struggle for goals, and to loose to Wigan is no disrace they have better footballers than us simple as, Sunderland is the team to catch as brm will win tomorow most on here need to take a reality check first we appoint a relegation expert then we sell our only quality player not rocket science is it chaps, wise up face reality we are shite.players who cannot pass the ball 20 yards to a white shit earning in one week what most of us get in a year please wise up.
