Fair shout, maybe living in Yorkshire for 20 years has given us this 'how cheap can we do it' mentality!

 

Joking apart, if we can still be arsed ( and I know a fair few travel much, much further than we do) surely those who live in the Bolton area should be able to rouse themselves for a few games a season, whichever league we're in. Not saying everybody should buy a ST like, peoples circumstances are different, but it would be a bit crap if we're getting crowds of 12k in the Championship. Ipswich, Norwich, the Sheffield clubs and many more average more than 20k in that division, are we smaller than them? Do they not put up with the same matchday shite that we do? Why are we so different?

 

Or are we just a small club in a small town whose population would rather go to B & Q, or god help us, IKEA, rather than watch our team?

ill be a member again and will get to as many games as i can but not sure i would evan bother with a season ticket if i could

just remember fans make a club ...and they can also break it.. regardless of shite manager ,chairman , location..

Without any axe to grind myself, I sit in the WSL next to the South Stand, ie the 'family area' so I get a cheap ST for me and junior. There are quite often Asian families there, usually mum, dad and loads of kids ( some of whom who may be nephews and neices, whatever). Some on here may not like this, but these people consider themselves Bolton people, and Bolton is their club. Many Asians in Bolton are 2nd, 3rd and even 4th generation, and a good few of them do support the Wanderers. I take your point, I live on the Leeds / Bradford border and most of the Asian lads round here support manure. But I will say that there are a fair few Bolton Asians who do support the club, pay their money therefore fair enough.

I seem to remember that when that happened there was an obvious contrast to be made to Forest who (and, being local, I got - and get - to hear these things on th'East Midlands Today) dropped their ST price by ?100 upon relegation.

Thing is, when we went up we didn't get a price reduction based upon there being fewer games....

?20 max. a game next season if we go down.

That's the only way to get half-decent crowds.

I've thunk and thunk about this now and decided, it's a no. I'm sure I'll go to every home game & probably a fair few away ones BUT I'm f?cked if they're getting the money upfront this year.

I cannot imagine not getting a season ticket, but I was asked tonight about Megson & next season. If they want to break me, that might be the way.

 

Imagine...........best part of a grand extra to spend and Saturday afternoons free to do something with.

As Satan said earlier in this thread the evening games are becoming a bastard. Added to that the ever increasing cost of fuel and the regular delays on the M5/M6 are combining to make my day more pain than pleasure.

 

For that reason I am out.

Don't think it's about the actual cost for most on here. It's either about getting value for money given the midweekers & their jobs/travel or ........

..... it's about who'll be in charge (ED/PG/GM or others).

Me ? Dunno yet. Can't imagine me not getting season tickets after all these years. And, yeah, the BWFC directors have always been economical with the truth and with their own money. But ED/PG have really pushed out those boundaries beyond all recognition this last 18 months. I want to back the club, but not them.

I've thought about this; if they change the way they sell, introduce some additional incentives and also made the prices reasonable, I'll have one. I also want assurances that people who stick by the club will be rewarded for their loyality.

 

If on the other hand they sell them in exactly the same way as they have done before: no real price reductions as you are getting more games, after all or just expect people to hand over their hard earned cash then not a fcuking chance.
