Cahill

Featured Replies

My father asked me about Cahill this morning. I said that he is brilliant and struggled to think of anyone better than him at Bolton.

Bergsson excelled for years and Cahill has made a couple of mistakes, but have we ever seen anyone better?

Best ever? No.

Looks like a very good buy and that's as far as I will go (at the moment).

Heirro (is that how you spell it?)

Laville

:pardon:

I agree with Undies, Cahill looks a great player, but it's far too soon to start talking of him as "the greatest ever" - he has made a very promising start to his Bolton career though

The guy is immense. His defending is top class, he has the composure and skill to play the ball out of defence, he is hard as nails, he gives 100% every game, he hardly makes a mistake, and he has sorted out a terrible defence.

If we can keep him for long enough then IMO he can become the best we have had (even above Bergsson). He will also make a very very good captain IMO.

We just need to make sure we can keep hold of him.

we concede more per game with him than we did with meite

so, sorted out the defence, i think not

hes a good un though

so who would you have in defence for the last 3 games...Meite or Cahill?

personally I wouldn't be disappointed if Meite never played for us again.

barring an inkury to AOB or Cahill in the next three matches, I doubt he ever will play for us again. He didn't even make the bench yesterday

definitely cahill

Not the best ever, but very promising.

I always rated Fairclough as a great Bolton centre half.

Gudni and Laville as well of course.

said it from the 1st time i saw him in a white shirt... that lad will play for england.

Maybe, but as a Bolton player?

no, which is a shame.

Cahill will have to be consistently top notch for 5 years to match bergson, I like cahill but he has made more mistakes in his 3 months here than bergson made in his whole bolton career.

definately..

no, which is a shame.

I think he may get a cap while he plays for Bolton. Not sure Cappelo is the sort to only pick from the big 4.

To be a regular, I am sure he would have to leave us.

That is wrong

Are we classing Bergsson bringing down players who are through on goal as mistakes?

Cahill's timing is as bad a Gerald Cid's at times.

sayin that, wheater got in the last preliminary squad, so you never know...

I don't think Laville can be considered great. As good as he was for us, he only played 15 games in two years. Shame about the injury.

Best centre back I have seen at BWFC - Paul Jones.

Best centre back pairing - Paul Jones and BSA.

Cahill has massive promise and could become the best ever centre back for BWFC in time.

Paul Jones for me too, would have played for England if he had not played for use

Lies, damn lies and statistics....

Cahill came after Anelka went- no one up front to score, ball keeps coming back, hence more work etc...
