Jj Shown The Door At Hull

Probably best if he does retire.

Not even good enough for the Championship last season so no way would he have been good enough for the Premier League.

He is retiring through choice me thinks, he has been very busy setting up his construction/bar/forex business back home.

Still one of the great players to wear the white shirt, happy retirment JJ

All the best JJ you will always be in our hearts, 1 of the finest ever to wear the mighty white shirt :good: :good:

Just found this some happy memories of J.J. =D>

the only time I would accept the phrase "genius" being applied to a footballer is in his case. And I don't just mean among Bolton players - he had summat I've seen in no other player, ever.

Over the hill when he came?

Maybe, but who cares?

Was absolutely superb for us early on, the skill and the free kicks were amazing.

spoke to a hull fan last week

said despite only a few appearances, okocha did things he'll never forget and whatever he cost them it was worth it

I think it might of been a bad move for Brown. I think he should of at least offered him a player coach role because his experiance could of proved vital for them this season. Would love to see back at the reebok as a coach!

Just like franky worthy in that he was a great player and also a great entertainer, always played with a smile, shame his career in England was so short.

That game against Arsenal when we drew 2-2 stands out when he was in the corner and flicked it over his head and Parlours head was class.

Liked it when he went pass Keane and Beckham and the goal of all goals against west ham + game v Everton and Citeh! Dear lord theres loads of memories of the well...... legend!

No way, whilst Gazza was good player, JJ could do things with the ball which no one else could do.

the ball landed out of play..........

i think his age has really caught up with up.

no way is he only 34.

2002-03 and 2003-04 i've never seen anything like it, I agree with Casino about Spurs away circa Nov 03, ran the show that day and more.

West Ham , not only for the goal but also for the run he made down the wing later.

Also the game (against a team who escapes me - someone will know) at the reebok where Youri fired the ball across field to him and he had to backtrack a bit to pick it up; so just to emphasise that point he immediately banged it back to Youri, inch perfect to his foot. That's why I say genius - it was just so natural to him he could decide to do summat like that on a whim.

Note to Bolton SPEND if needs be to get some old faces like JJ back to bolster the atmosphere - imagine the response to him coming onto the pitch prior to kick off. others as well - especially Supa

chelsea

stood and clapped a 1-2

think it was the game gudjohnsen equalised for them at the death

the best id ever seen us play, to that day

Seem to remember Keane falling on his arse, priceless! Absolute genius!

I reckon we might have had one or two more great seasons out of him - but Allardyce got pissed off with his tricks, and told him to keep it simple and retain possession blah blah blah - after that the smile seemed to be gone from JJ's face, and he looked like he didn't enjoy his last 2 seasons with us.

For us longer serving suffering Bolton fans you often have to pinch yourself that the likes of JJ and Youri have pulled on the White shirt.

For all BSA negatives, the big man will always be owed one for bringing these world class players to The Reebok.

the ball landed out of play..........

aye but he made up for it by flicking it over parlour's head again later on
