Do you want the average you don't yet know or those you do?

Is the extent of what you've seen three games in the Euros where he's been farmed out on the right wing in a shit team?

If so, i'll take Megsons opinion over yours.

what do you know about me or how many times ive seen him, dont come on here judging people you dont know, while he may be a decent player i have seen enough of him to know he is only worth about half that thus waste of money quote Edited by athywhite

From you tube looks like he has the game for English league, but even though played out of position in the Euros did not see much to justify 12 million, little bit concerned about this deal.

He's probably average, but we don't yet know. Or we can get Baros or Saha, who we already know are average.
bet we could get samuel eto for that money

humour us

how many games have you seen him play?

He has scored 11 goals in each of the last 2 seasons, does not look to have great pace, has played for a load of middling type european clubs, and you can make an opinion of a player within 3-4 games and I have seen nothing to tell me he is worth 12million, that is 4 million more than we paid for Anelka, and this lad could not lace his boots.

p.s. be very happy to be proven completely wrong.

Hes got a better record in France than Adebayor or Anelka had so i wouldnt write him off just yet.

It does say in the mail article that we are also trying to get Baros + Saha (Baros permant + Saha loan) then that front 3 would complemnt each other very well and would mean that we have 4 or 5 very good strikers and more attacking threat than since Anelka left. With Diouf, Davies, Elmander, Saha and Baros that would (on paper look pretty good). Baros is very hard working and will do the running into channels, Elmander will be in the box and a good target man, Saha will be the goal scorer/poacher and Diouf (prob playing more on right wing) will be good creatively.

I agree that ?10m + sounds a lot and ?4-5m for Baros + whatever Saha costs (that is if we get them) but hopefully Megson knows what he is doing. His previous signings have proved good (except for Rasiak but he was only on loan and not really a gamble) - lets hope we keep spending!

at least when we had diouf and rasiak, we had a bit of spit and polish

This is the same striker we tried to sign last January after the sale of Anelka. They bumped up the price then when they saw we got ?15m, apparently the club told them to f off.

Nice one :good:
