We didnt deserve to win that today, we looked okay first half hour then it was just all West Ham till the end.

But we did win so i cant complain.

We scored 2

They scored 1

So, we deserved it

Thats the fcuking name of the game

I'm thinking maybe now we can enjoy the rest of the season and the TonyCee's of the world can go and f?ck off for 7 months, sitting in a vat of their own bitterness.

Impressed with West Ham

Parker played really well and Carlton Cole was a handful

Luckily we had a lead, they were on top just before half-time. Maybe we should have made the switch at half-time and man marked Parker although when we did and the ball went up to Davies late on there was no support so we can't have it both ways

Steinsson needs to improve his defending, the small lad who was on the left for them was pacy and dangerous and was always in space. Fortunately, West Ham didn't use him as much as they should

3 wins away from safety now so should piss it with Hull, Boro, Newcastle and Sunderland to come to the Reebok

brilliant result, absolutely awfull performance but its the final score which matters and for that reason credit to the team.

Well said. Well, not absolutely awful, but I get what you mean. :D

Seriously, how were we? Being stuck in transport befuddled exile I have no idea; indeed it was only when WW's Baba O'Reilly texted me that I knew we were winning. Of course I could have found a boozer that had Sky; the Swan in the Rushes doesn't - but it does have 8% by volume cider though :drinks:

Iv just had a look at the remaining fixtures and got all excited about the rest of the season.

Newcastle H

Stoke A

Fulham H

WBA A

Boro H

Chelsea A

Pompey A

Villa H

Wigan A

Sun'land H

Hull H

Man City A

It's an extremely good run in and i wouldn't be suprised if we are top half by the end of the season :good:

How many points off a UEFA spot are we? Looking at other teams fixtures, you never know!!! :pardon:

probably 5, if it drops to 7th place; which is achievable, I reckon

A cautiously optimistic 2-1 from me :yahoo:

I bet Lawro is shittting himself :yahoo:

He went for the same

Don't get the awful performance comment. Yes, there were long spells of West Ham domination late first half and most of the second half but we played some good stuff too and had them rocking for the first half hour. Even after that, some of our passing movements when we managed to get hold of the ball were equally as good as theirs.

As Traf says - we were able to stick it in the net twice to their once so that will do for me. I don't mind awful performances for the rest of the season if we keep getting 2-1 wins.

Best thing about today? WINNING. What makes WINNING even more satisfying is knowing we didnt play as well as those Upthereownarses East End shites (how shit was their journey home? and does that not make WINNING even more pleasing?).

The Red Scum win regularly when not dominating the game for the full 90- why cant we do it once in a while?

I was impressed with West Ham up to a point.

But, you have to ask yourself this:

With 55+% possession away from home, why has Jussi only made one save all afternoon?

Oh, another question: how much does Robert Green not like playing against Davies and Taylor?

I'm always a bit nervous when I'm strangely confident, however...

My (mug-punter) money will be going via Betfair on Taylor first goal and a 2-1 win.

After telling you not to put it on, I sincerely hope that you took no notice at all and you lumped a bit on. Well done if you did, and I will certainly not be offering advice any time soon :drinks:

According to dannyc whatshisname, that would make you a small minded person.

I am with you on that, yes West Ham did have a lot of possesion 2nd half, but in the main we coped well with that, I thought the first half West Ham did not want to know, Upson was scared stiff of Davies and with a little more positiveness and belief we could have been 3-4 up, as it was 2 goals in the first 20 and the game was up for west ham, let us not forget they are on a fantastic run and full of confidence while we came off the back of our worst display of the season.

Agree with you, Mounts.

But I was worried how disorganised the back four were at times (yeah, West Ham are good, I know) and how McCann was largely left to patrol midfield alone until Muamba was brought on (I was hoping that would happen at half-time). I thought McCann did a terrific job after being out for a while.

Anyway, surely the Toon can't be as good as West Ham. So let's put the same passing movements together and win more comfortably (which doesn't necessarily mean a big win).

Well, once again, he'd be spot on

Will also go 2-1 with us hanging on and me and the kids shitting ourselves for final whistle

Someone must have been happy yesterday!

Ha - I've only just woken up from the hangover... :drinks:

Had a cheeky tenner on at Laddies. A great day all round.

Obviously, I'm now going to think I'm some sort of soothsayer and so all subsequent bets are gonna go south... :nea:
