Managerial Shortlist

Just got me thinking, if we don't pick up any more than a point from our next 4 games, then we would have the same amount of points from the same amount of games as Sammy Lee did from his start to the 2007/08 season.

Birmingham (a)

Spurs (h)

Man U (a)

Everton (h)

At the moment i can see us getting maybe 2 points but not much more, so if Gartside was to wield the axe, what managers would we be able to bring in. I've had a look and come up with a list below which goes from the very sensible to the downright ludicrous.

What do you think of our would be (limited) options?

Phil Brown

Owen Coyle

Stuart Pearce

George Burley

Gary Johnson

Alan Irvine

Nigel Adkins

Simon Grayson

Paul Tisdale

Keith Hill

Gordon Strachan

Alan Curbishley

Kenny Dalglish

Bruce Rioch

Warren Joyce

Slaven Bilic

Morten Olsen

Hector Cuper

Radi Antic

Otto Rehhagel

Jurgen Klinsmann

Vanderlei Luxemburgo

Roger Lemerre

Luciano Spalletti

Alberto Zaccheroni

Arrigo Sacchi

Michael Laudrup

Diego Simeone

Jairzinho

realistic shortlist , ie

a) people out of work who would consider the job

B) have experience of keeping a team in Prem league

if anyone wouldn't prefer either of these 2 & would continue to put up with s***te weekly then they are mad

Curbishley

Jewell

Thank fuck for that.

not sure why a bloke in sunglasses appeared , was just meant to be point b.

Jewell would be worse than Megson.

Curbishley might do well.

They wont want to pay Megsons compo, plus another managers compo.

I reckon they will stick with megson, even if we go down.

BWFC rip

Pele....

Phil will get nervous enough to pull the trigger if we're in't bottom 3 near Xmas.

Agree on the money though - he'll probably but Wigley in charge instead !

He said on Skysports last week that he never wants to return to management.

THANK FOOK FOR THAT !

Bobby Robson could do a better job than megson at the moment

If not, I'd go for Vicente Del Bosco

I mentioned this in a earlier thread my choice would be Fernando Hierro with Gary Speed as his number two , but i have to say im warming to sneeke s :good:

Dream Team, with Alan Cork?

IAMIN for Wigley, just for the songs.

Wigley, just a little bit - acid grooves.

Dont want to piss on your parade but why would Hierro leave a job with the Spanish FA/national team to come here? As for Sneekes what has he done in management? Believe me fella this job aint for a novice.

Alan Irvine

I'd rather have Eddie Irvine.

If Megson was to be sacked, the same person who appointed Meggo is the same one who will appoint another.

Dowie is the probable choice. We get what they want, not what we want.

fans should have no say in such decisions!

Alan Hansen

I know he has no managerial experience, and so would be a risk, but he would have the respect of the players and fans

Talks a lot of sense on the box, but would be a gamble as he is unproven but he has definately comes across as a leader of men, and tactically knows his stuff

id rather have Eddie Izzard

Will someone turn the lights off and close the door on the way out.

David O,neil

Alan Hansen

I'd rather have Charles Manson

Joe Kinnear just for the first press conference

"Which one of you is Gordon Shorrock, your a c**t!"

Big Sam, he could prove how much he loves BWFC and walk out on Blackburn. Curbishley could do a job.

As long as we don't appoint Tony Adams or John Barnes .

What about Roy Keane, i think he would be good
