LodgeMorrWhite
I think an injury to Elmander is a blow for Bolton. He has been absolute bobbins this season and rightly replaced by Klasnic whom I hope will do enough to keep him out of the side on merit rather than because Elmander is injured. However I would like to see if there is any improvement in Elmander if he is brought on into a team who are playing with a little more confidence after a couple of wins. With the ball played to feet in the box I think Elmander is a better finisher than SKD. With balls played over the top and from set pieces, my money goes on SKD. With Lee and Gardner back in providing a little more width and taking some of the burden off the central striker I think Elmander could come good. Mounts Kipper
I have said in the past that he will come good and Bolton play him in a position that is not his best, I am now begining to question whether he will ever cut the mustard at Bolton, therefore it may be best for both parties if we cut our losses as soon as we can get someone else in. M G WHITES
pulled hamstring last night big blow I agree, dont want to be having 8 million smacker's worth of talent(which he has to that there is no doubt) sat in stand
snackum
I agree, dont want to be having what used to be 8 million smacker's worth of talent(which he has to that there is no doubt) sat in stand Talent or not, we'd be lucky to get back half of what we paid for him. A striker who can't score in a team which does actually score goals (and Elk scored enough) and who can't stay fit for 6 months may be attractive to the championship but I doubt anywhere else in the premier league. jolly-olly
Him and Vaz Te can keep each other company. Both always promise so much and are always fooking injured. Good players do not need so much time to come good so all this talk of he has the ability does not cut the mustard with me.

Lot of truth there I find him really frustrating because I genuinely beleive he has talent. Not sure if he has confidence issues, but Those few games when he found his form he looked like he could really could have been up there with the best. Solution? Fuck knows. But if he doesn't pick his socks up we'd do well to off-laod him for 5mill

tylswhite
He had a few chances against West Ham when he actually had a winger supplying him with the ball/chances. I just dont think he fits in with our style of play and never will do imo.

Site Supporter Ratwhite Posted October 1, 2009 Site Supporter Share Posted October 1, 2009 Megson out! Sorry wrong thread. Elmander out! Sorry wrong board. Think he's still got time to shine this season. I also think we will beat spurs and knock Chelski out of the cup

YATESY
We are back to square one again with no real competition for the forward places in the team - although I do use the term very loosely including Elmander in that statement. At least whilst he's out injured, his record (for those with long term memory loss problems) will read 1 goal in 1 game.
