The Norpig Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I can't believe some of the stories being banded about. Coyle is finished at Burnley, he will be our manager when the clubs' lawyers have dotted the i's and crossed the t's. He will be in charge for the Sunderland game. There is no way Reid or anyone else will take the job mean while.
Henry_VIII Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Ive just had a call from someone who is pretty high up at Ewood Park asking if I had heard what is going on. From what he says most of what has been said on here is true. There is some stumbling block re Coyle and Reid has been approached about filling in the gap. Before you ask why anyone at Blackburn would know, those of you that know football know it is a very small world.
Plums Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 is that not what a 90% of such rumours are about. but some people really are ITK, you just need to know who this people are. elaborate well I don't have the time... but the above quote will do nicely for the time being
thehallz Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 You were my knob of the year 2008 and 2009, and at the moment it's looking like you've got 2010's award stitched up already.I'll stick the trophy in the post it's yours to keep. Being a bit of a newbie I guess you two have previous, but to me the initial statement seems a very valid one...?

HomerJay Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Being a bit of a newbie I guess you two have previous, but to me the initial statement seems a very valid one...? ive never even noticed the daft cunt before. nice to know ive made an impression on him though.
desert Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Would Reid really leave his current job to "cover" at the Reebok as second best until we get who we really want?
MickyD Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Norpig, your sousces are obviously much better qualified than mine so come on, tell us what's really going on . . . or are you just hoping everything turns out right?
cbwfcd Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Would Reid really leave his current job to "cover" at the Reebok as second best until we get who we really want? Money?
Rembrandt Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I have a feeling Burnley want to make this run as long as possible, hence Peter Reid as caretaker so we get a manager in place who can do what needs doing. Aye, and there's the rub !
desert Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 What would he do when the 6 months are up? Go back?
Henry_VIII Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Would Reid really leave his current job to "cover" at the Reebok as second best until we get who we really want? Course he would, if he does well his stock rises and is more likely to get a "numder 1" job, if we go down he will still get a coaching job anywhere.
cbwfcd Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 What would he do when the 6 months are up? Go back? Either that or go for a manager job else where?

Winchester White Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 If the rumours are true then this has been one almighty fuck up in the history of fuck ups for any club never mind the history of fuck ups from Bolton Wanderers...
Gumbo Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 THEY DO have the money and time to drag it out to get three from one million There one of the very few clubs not in debt Plus Brendan may stick his 4 mil back in to keep the house straight
HomerJay Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Either that or go for a manager job else where? stop on as assistant? stop on as director of football? (shit idea)
desert Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 See where you are coming from but think it's a bit of a risky move for him - I mean it must be hard knowing you're not who the club really wants but standing in for their number 1 choice with your head still held high.
Gaz Nt Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Well if all you people 'in the know' are so confident about these stories, Reidy's at 20/1 on Betfair so ide back him before his price goes odds on tomorrow morning!
only1swanny Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 i'll be a bit cheesed off if it doesnt go through.. as will a lot of Bolton fans.. i can see Reid being quite happy with a 6 month contract to fill the gap.. as hes someone else whos close to the club, its just very gutting..
Mr Magoo Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 What a load of old bollocks! Bring back Megson all is forgiven.
