Breightmet Boy Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 pm me the details i will have my lawyer go over them Loose lips sink ships W, my word is my honour
Gaz Nt Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 If he has a buy out clause of ?1m in his contract then whats the problem? If it because of the backroom staff they want extra compo then why cant we just get Coyle in for the time being and then the backroom staff after?!
YATESY Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Good one Yatesy. This'll get a few going! It has worked for Simon Jordon twice
JimmyRiddle Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 well the fee cannot be agreed, they want 3 mil we dont want to pay it, they could have wrote 100 mill into his contract then he would have no chance of moving, as i said before why did burnley give him permission to speak to us before we had agreed to pay what they want thats what i cant understand? But OC would noy have agreed to that would he, he has signed a contract he obviously felt comfortable with, from the club side they offered him a suitable salary and they protected their investment with a compensation clause that OC was obviously hapy with.. for us now not want to pay that fee, if that is indeed whats going on, seems slightly underhand to me
Horwich Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Coyle has peed bfc off, bfc are doin just the same to us.

He has committed to Bolton, thus severing ties with Burnley and now it seems we won't pay the compensation. I just hope it's all sorted soon!
athywhite Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 From what I have read I assumed he had a clause similar to what we had removed from Cahills contract stating if a club was willing to pay X, then his current club would let them go. Could you imagine if we sold Cahill to United for 15M as that was the price in his contract, it all become public, then United say in fact we will only pay 5M, its all bollocks, either its written in his contract or its not.. well we dont know for sure if it was written into his contract, if it was then surely they must know if they are bound to pay it or not,if it was not then they are quite entitled to haggle it out other wise this delay makes no sense and makes him and us look stupid.
birch-chorley Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Herd word on whats really happening - Burnley have got 2 cowboy no win no fee personal injury solicitors in to complete negotiations but they are swamped with PI claims with the big freeze so have put the deal on the back burner, Burnley expe3ct to get paid the compo in about 3 years. Its aload of guff really, a stall does neither party any favours, will be done and dusted Friday at the latest. The dingles are loving the delay though, they are an angry bunch at the moment.
athywhite Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Loose lips sink ships W, my word is my honour go on g i wont tell anyone
Guest Biff Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Is the situation not Coyle wants to come to Bolton. Burnley want ?3million compensation. Bolton are only offering ?1million. It's whoever blinks first. That is likely to be Burnley because I would imagine they don't want to continue paying Coyle indefinitely.

But in that scenario surely comp would have been agreed before Coyle was allowed to talk to us, in my mind Burnley only let us get to him so quickly as they knew it was in his contract, and if so thety will have been a fee stipulated.. i think!!
YATESY Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) Its a question of how long Burnley can spin this out for. If Eddie / Phil will not meet the ?3.6M asking price then there is nothing we can do. For OC to start work for Bolton, Burnley have to agree to his release. They are all really pissed off at the moment at Turf Moor and see this delay as having the last laugh on the matter. Give it a week at most or maybe tomorrow or maybe January 27th or maybe in the summer? EDIT: to add about PG speaking to OC - who knows what is in this clause! It may allow OC to speak to any club who shows an interest in his services? Its all guess work. Edited January 6, 2010 by YATESY

Jiminiho.3 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 what some dickhead of theirs put on 606 website New visitors: comment by claretmaz (U13797188) posted 1 Hour Ago it`s called reminiscing...and at this moment in time the thought of running bolton fans all across town and giving them a good pasting is actually very theraputic yep it`s a poor show as you say but in a week of lying, backstabbing and very little honesty or integrity then I think we are entitled to some good old fashioned violence don`t you. What`s worse a traitor stabbing a whole town of fans in the back ?...or a few burnley fans giving some bolton retards a good kicking ? Leave us with a crumb of dignity please !!
no balls Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 He clearly doesn't remember the late 80s then. Run us out of town, my arse!
Widnes Two Hats Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 He clearly doesn't remember the late 80s then. Run us out of town, my arse! I think he's forgotten the game the following Saturday

eaststandlower Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 is this not a case of the clause being 1M but Burnley wanting more on top of that and the whites are only willing to pay the 1M?
MickyD Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Mate has just rung. Peter Reid is currently at the reebok. SSN cameras are nowhere to be seen. Expect a press release this morning.
bwfcol Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Mate has just rung. Peter Reid is currently at the reebok. SSN cameras are nowhere to be seen. Expect a press release this morning. I'm sure the bedsheet brigade will be out in force after this latest debacle
Sweep Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Coyle has peed bfc off, bfc are doin just the same to us. indeed, they'll probably hold on to him long enough that he can't have any influence on this weekends game, and then let him go. He'll be ours by Saturday/Sunday evening I reckon
freds dad Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Mate has just rung. Peter Reid is currently at the reebok. SSN cameras are nowhere to be seen. Expect a press release this morning. Why would they do a press release about Peter Reid being at the Reebok? I'm sure he's been there before
Boothy Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 "Latest on Bolton Wanderers search for a new manager, next" Sounds a bit ominous on SSN.
MickyD Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Tell your fred to buy a couple of shotgun cartridges on his way home! I don't know why they're doing a press release. I've heard they want Read to be in charge against Sunderland because he has history with them and Gartside feels it is the best way to improve our chances of winning the game. Gartside has told thestaff that people who know football will understand the move for read at this critical time in the season. Get SSN on, it'll re-loop in about half an hour.
