Boothy Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Tell your fred to buy a couple of shotgun cartridges on his way home! I don't know why they're doing a press release. I've heard they want Read to be in charge against Sunderland because he has history with them and Gartside feels it is the best way to improve our chances of winning the game. Gartside has told thestaff that people who know football will understand the move for read at this critical time in the season. Get SSN on, it'll re-loop in about half an hour. Fuckin heard that little beaut before, havn't we?
YATESY Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) My angle on this: Evans & Wigley are set to follow Megson out of The Reebok - possibly because Megson is set to get the Sheff Weds job? With Burnley digging their heals in by not releasing Coyle, we need a temporary manager. Peter Read would drop everything to manage his "home" town club, even if this is for an unknown period of time Read may well have been promised a job "upstairs" when Coyle finally gets employed by Bolton, as the reward for his stint as manager Don't worry chaps, Coyle is coming its just a matter of when Edited January 7, 2010 by YATESY
andyadc Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 "Latest on Bolton Wanderers search for a new manager, next" Sounds a bit ominous on SSN. Just heard that myself, bit odd as they were saying earlier they would be at the reebok for the latest on Owen Coyle.
Boothy Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Just heard that myself, bit odd as they were saying earlier they would be at the reebok for the latest on Owen Coyle. Yep, exactly my thoughts. Less on Team Sky's fledgling attempt at the Tour De France, tell me why the feck Coyle isn't signed yet!
cbwfcd Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Mate in Australia just sent me message on MSN, saying press down there are saying it will be Reid.
Traf Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Our song for Saturday: We ended up with Reidy 'Cos Burnley got too greedy Na-na-na-na Na-na-na-na
YATESY Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Yep, exactly my thoughts. tell me why the feck Coyle isn't signed yet! Because, as we know from the Portsmouth money story, ?11M from the Premier League is arriving in every club's bank account around now and thus, Burnley are not in a desperate need for our money. So at the moment they are more than happy to sit back and wait for us to pay them the ?3.6M they are asking for. It would seem from Gartside?s angle, that Coyle?s contract has a minimum ?1M release clause in it, which is why we are refusing to pay more. It is a question of who will crack first - I suspect it will be us but this will seriously eat into the transfer kitty that has been promised to Coyle!
Boothy Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Anything on SSN yet? Ball all. They said next half an hour ago. Shambles of a news channel!
forever white Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Anything on SSN yet? Just Viera having medical at City and Liverpool turned down 9 million for Babel (they must be mad)
YATESY Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 So what if he is. Burnley could dig their heals in over the compensation for months, evern the full notice period that Coyle is on! How long was Bruce on gardening leave for after leaving Crystal Palace? Even if Gartside now offers the GBP 3.6M, Burnley may then ask for another million, the ball is in their court on this. Would you want Evans and Wigley in charge for this unknown length of time? I think Gartside needs praise for acting on this rather than just letting it drag on and on. Coyle is coming, its just that it may not be this side of the Burnley home game!
ZiggyStardust Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Coyle is coming, its just that it may not be this side of the Burnley home game! Which may just be what the Burnley chairman is most concerned about
worthy10 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 So if reid is temporarily appointed, will i gat paid on on my 6/1 bet?
Guest YW Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Id rather lose some transfer kitty money to get the right man for the job! Coyles man mangement skills are easily enough to work with what we have got to stay up and then start afresh in the summer. This stinks of Steve Bruce all over again where Gartside refused to pay Brum ?3 million after getting permission and Bruces intrest and then Whelan and Wigan came in and paid it and got him instead!
mickbrown Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I think I get it now. You clever buggers have started a rumour so you can get better odds for Coyle on Betfair. Penny dropped in the end
Horwich Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I think I get it now. You clever buggers have started a rumour so you can get better odds for Coyle on Betfair. Penny dropped in the end Yeh, we are all going to retire from backing Coyle @ 1.04
HomerJay Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Yeh, we are all going to retire from backing Coyle @ 1.04 them odds will do for me. LAY LAY LAY! lovely!
cbwfcd Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I think I get it now. You clever buggers have started a rumour so you can get better odds for Coyle on Betfair. Penny dropped in the end My munich mate in australia said it's all over their papers, how would he know about it if that was the case.
Boothy Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Why would the Australian rags know anything about it, especially before the British ones? More importantly, who trusts a Munich?
